En mi infancia creía que los escritores sacaban un montón de ideas de su imaginación, las unían y así creaban una historia. Pero, con el tiempo entre más leía me preguntaba: ¿Cómo crean mundos tan maravillosos o personajes tan reales? Un día vi una entrevista a mi escritora favorita en la que ella explicaba que ella no decide que pasa en sus historias, los personajes lo hacían, y ella solo lo narraba. En mi mente eso sonó como un super poder, o un sexto sentido o algo así. Por eso tengo la teoría loca de que esas historias en algún otro universo son reales. En fin, a mi me encanta ser escritora, y me pregunto: ¿Algún día lograré una conexión tan fuerte como para formar una buena historia? Bueno, supongo que tendré que seguir intentando hasta lograrlo.

On the whole, I’m a big fan of the little Lannes museum in Lectoure (all forthcoming jokes aside, it’s genuinely pretty great and you should definitely go visit if you’re in the area), but this particular curation choice almost had me in tears. Apparently they couldn’t find any satisfactorily dramatic pictures of Lannes to make a huge cutout of that weren’t just him dying, so they went with this :

Lookin’ good. But where did that painting come from ? Turns out they just co-opted Augereau’s whole-ass body.

Don’t get me wrong - I kinda love it. But it’s only one step from the utter chaos that is this very real, purchasable product. Slippery slope les gars ...
