Title: “Bound for Trouble”
The Owl House was unusually quiet for a Friday night. Eda had gone out earlier for a “moonlit herb run” and promised not to return until late. Luz and Amity had taken full advantage of the opportunity.
Candles flickered softly around the room. Amity had gone all-out, enchanted the space to smell faintly of vanilla and cinnamon, and placed petals across the bed in a way she definitely wouldn’t admit she learned from a cheesy romance scroll.
Luz, wide-eyed and flustered, lay on the bed—arms bound gently above her head with a silken vine spell that shimmered faintly in the candlelight.
“This is… very romantic,” Luz said, her voice cracking slightly.
Amity, perched beside her with a smug smile, leaned in. “Too romantic for a fearless human like you?”
“Not at all!” Luz blurted. “I mean—yes. But also no. But also yes.”
Amity laughed, leaning down to kiss her forehead. “You’re cute when you’re panicking.”
Just as Luz was working on a comeback that didn’t involve squeaking, the door to their room creaked open.
“Hey, do either of you—”
Eda froze mid-step. Her golden eyes swept the scene in front of her.
Luz. Tied to the bed. Blushing so hard she looked like a tomato with hair.
Amity. Equally red, half-hovering over her girlfriend.
Silence.
And then—
Pffffft. Eda burst into loud, cackling laughter. She had to lean against the doorframe to keep from doubling over.
“Oh Titan’s toenails, I leave for two hours and you’re already playing that kind of game?” she wheezed.
“E-EDA!” Luz yelped. “Knock much?!”
Amity frantically tried to look dignified while clearly panicking. “It’s not—it’s not like that! It’s—romantic!”
“Yeah, sure,” Eda grinned. “Well, I’ll leave you two lovebirds to your, uh, intense snuggling. Just one thing before I go…”
She turned with a wicked glint in her eye.
“Luz is ridiculously ticklish. Especially her sides.”
“E-EDA!” Luz screeched.
Eda just winked and shut the door behind her, still chuckling.
There was a pause.
Then Amity turned slowly toward Luz with a new kind of smirk.
“Amity. No.”
“You know,” Amity said, straddling her waist and letting her fingers dance ominously toward her sides, “I was just going to kiss you…”
“Amity, don’t—AHHH NOHOHOHO—!”
Luz burst into giggles as Amity’s fingers found her weak spots. The poor human squirmed helplessly, tugging at the enchanted binds, completely at the mercy of her girlfriend’s devious grin.
“I can’t believe she told you!” Luz gasped between laughs.
“Oh, I definitely owe Eda a thank-you gift,” Amity purred, still teasingly scribbling her fingers over Luz’s sides. “This is the best night ever.”
Luz couldn’t argue. Not really. Even if she was being mercilessly tickled by her girlfriend. Okay—especially because of that.
Amity finally made a stop to her playful assault on her girlfriend and let her breath, still straddling her waist. ‘You’re lucky I like you so much’ Luz said breathlessly while still giggling.
‘ I never knew you could get more adorable’ amity playfully mocked, making Luz blush. ‘ I’m so getting you back for this, just you wait’ Luz playfully threatened back.
‘ is that so’ amity said while trailing her finger around Luz’s stomach, making her shiver. Then with out a warning she dove her fingers back to her sides and continued her tickle attack while Luz went straight back to uncontrollable giggling and squirming.
*later that day*
Eda crept through the hallway, her gut screaming that something was off. And when your gut’s been seasoned by years of outlaw magic and chaos? You trust it.
She was halfway to the kitchen when click.
The floorboard under her boot glowed.
“Oh, no—”
ZIP!
In a flash of golden light, Eda was yanked off her feet and suspended midair by enchanted vines, stretched out starfish-style, hovering two feet above the ground.
“SERIOUSLY?!”
Luz and Amity stepped out from the shadows, matching grins on their faces.
“Payback time,” Luz said sweetly, cracking her knuckles.
Amity held a glowing glyph scroll. “This binding spell took hours. Worth it.”
Eda squinted at them. “You wouldn’t dare.”
Luz walked right up to her, wiggling her fingers. “You told Amity I was ticklish while I was tied up. You mocked me.”
“Affectionately!”
Amity raised an eyebrow. “Time to see if you can take what you dish out.”
“No—nonono—waitwaitWAIT—”
Too late.
Four hands dove into her sides, ribs, and stomach all at once. Eda exploded into snorting, barking laughter instantly.
“BAHAHAHAH YOU LIL’ BRATS—STAAHAHAHA—THIHIHIS IS ILLEGAHAHAHAL—!”
Luz grinned. “Ooooh she’s ticklish everywhere.”
Amity went for her underarms. Eda shrieked like a banshee.
“SWEET TITAN’S NIPPLE NOHOHOHOHO NOT THE ARHAHAHAMS!”
Luz leaned close, grinning like a gremlin. “Admit it.”
“ADMIT WHAT—HAHAHAHA I’M GONNA TURN YOU INTO A TOAD!”
“Admit you’re more ticklish than me,” Luz sing-songed.
“NEVER!”
Amity smirked. “Let’s see if this changes your mind.”
She zeroed in on Eda’s hip bones—fingers pressing in fast circles.
Eda howled.
“I CAHAHAHAN’T—THIHIHIS IS—UNCALLED FOHOHOHOR—YOU TRAITOROUS GREMLINS—AHAHAHAHA!”
“Say it,” Luz teased, tickling along her ribs with evil glee. “Come on, Owl Lady. Say it…”
“NOHOHOHO I’M STOHOHOHONG—!”
Both girls doubled their efforts, scribbling over every ticklish inch they could find. Eda was in absolute ruins, tears in her eyes, face beet-red, wheezing between full-body laughter.
“OKAHAHAHAY—FINE! FIIIIINE!”
Luz and Amity froze mid-tickle.
Eda dangled there, breathless, panting.
“I—I’m more ticklish than Luz. There! You happy?! I said it!”
Luz gasped. “Victory.”
Amity fist-bumped her. “Tickle Queen defeated.”
“Y-You two,” Eda wheezed, “are so grounded when I figure out how.”
They finally released the spell. Eda flopped to the floor like a ragdoll, still chuckling weakly.
Luz plopped down next to her. “We still love you, Eda.” Adding a cheeky poke to the side making eda jolt.
“You’re lucky I love you,” Eda groaned. “Now go…before I recover and get my revenge.”
“Fair,” Amity said, grabbing Luz’s hand. “C’mon, Luz. We’ll let her plan her dramatic comeback.”
As they left, Eda lay on the floor, blinking up at the ceiling.
“…I really should’ve knocked.”
