Skaterboy Sweetness
Over the years you had grown close to Lee Garcia, and since you were friends with him you were around Isaac a lot too. Lee was always sweet to you, and Isaac was just normal he wasn’t exactly polite but he wasn’t rude either. He had once pulled a prank on you, but luckily Lee had grown quite close to you and defended you. After he made Isaac apologize to you by threatening to throw away his leather jacket. It was unusual for Lee to have any girl to himself typically every girl would be all over his brother but you.
His aunt liked you too, but obviously rules were put in places. Not that either of you minded, most of the time you were watching or filming him on his skateboard. Lee had grown close to you more than he’d like to admit. You had started to like him too, but you weren’t going to tell him. Why would you ruin a perfect friendship because you just happened to start liking him. Lee also started looking at you differently not that you noticed, but everyone else did his pupils were blown wide when he laid eyes on you.
There were lingering touches, he’d look at you for a second to long, and he’d started looking at your lips dreaming of what they’d feel against his own. Though you both remained completely unaware of each other’s feelings. One night though you were in his and Isaac’s room, you were sat on his bed while you both worked on a project. Isaac was out due to football practice, Cole was obviously with him too, and the rest of the family was doing God knows what.
You were nearing the end of your project and Lee started getting distracted. He’d start looking at your eyes, the plush of your thighs, to your hips, and then to your lips. You noticed but stayed silent, he finished typing up the last paragraph while you looked over the project making sure everything was in place. Lee looked at you putting aside his computer waiting for you to close your own laptop. You closed it and put it aside, you looked up noticing Lee’s gaze on you. You felt like crawling into a hole from the nervousness you were experiencing.
His gaze didn’t waver, till you spoke. “I have to get going I need to be home early today for dinner yeah”
You spoke as if you were convincing yourself of having to go home, Lee seemed disappointed.
“Want me to walk you home? I don’t mind doing that for you.”
You want to accept his offer after all it’s getting a bit dark but you hesitated for a moment. “I’ll be fine, Lee.
“Okay just text me when you get home.” He said hesitantly he wanted to walk you home make sure you were safe.
You quickly grabbed your things and left the Walter’s home. Lee was disappointed that you left, he was overthinking too nothing good came from that. He kept thinking if he had made you uncomfortable or had he done something wrong? Lee spent most of his night thinking about it, he felt like he was on autopilot, doing what he had to before heading to bed.

The next morning wasn’t any better for both of you. Isaac had noticed Lee’s mood and had asked him about it but he ultimately stayed silent. You were waking up nervous of getting to school, you didn’t want to see Lee after leaving so abruptly. After getting to school you saw Lee, you thought about heading over to him but you hesitated. You thought about it one last time before walking towards him.
“Lee? We should meet up at your place again, we still have to finish the last things of our project.”
He seemed a bit sad that you hadn’t mentioned yesterday but he was relieved you didn’t. He nodded and you stayed by his side walking to your class together as always. Lee seemed more quiet than usual, and you couldn’t help but think it was all your fault. If you hadn’t left would he be like this now?

You guys were in his bedroom again, he hadn’t spoken much either. You were thinking of breaking the ice, but what would you mention? The weather? Or the project? Perhaps what happened yesterday? You shook you head as if to shoo away the thought, Lee didn’t really notice nor care. Lee was still thinking about yesterday, should he have stopped you? Or something else?
You scooted closer to Lee, you spoke softly not wanting to scare since he was zoned out.
“Lee, is something wrong?”
“…Nothing is wrong, I’m just tired is all” He took a while to respond and his voice was cold.
“Is this about yesterday? I didn’t mean to leave so suddenly I was just… nervous.” You said trying to reassure him that you hadn’t left because of something else.
“Do you even like me?” Lee said suddenly he actually looked up looking into your eyes while his watered.
“What? Lee what do you mean? Of course I like you.” You said quickly feeling horrible as his eyes started to water.
“I don’t think you like me the way I like you.”
“What are you talking about Lee?” You said a bit confused about his question, though you had an inkling that it was about him liking you romantically.
“I like you, and not platonically nothing is platonic about the way I like you.” He said as tears started streaming down his cheeks, all of his attention was on you.
You were about to open your mouth to respond but then you both heard the front door opening. Then the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs, you moved away from Lee. He wiped away his tears, and laid down his back to you. Isaac came up the stairs looking concerned and confused, you grabbed your things and left. Isaac looked at Lee for a moment and decided it was best not to ask. Whatever happened needed to be solved by you both deciding to.

You both avoided each other the next day at school him more than you. It was clear he needed space, and you weren’t one to disregard his needs. It went on for more than a week, but the due date of your guys project was coming up and you guys still had to finish up some things. You had walked to him during lunch, tapping on his shoulder. You spoke softly as if to test to waters.
“Lee? We need to… uhm finish the project.”
“Okay, we can just go to my house again.” He said flatly you were hurt typically he spoke to you in a softer tone.

Once again you guys were in his room, you were sat on the edge of his bed. There was no warmth in his eyes, the ones that would typically gaze at you with heart eyes. You finished up the last touches in the project, and he proofread the paragraphs. You both put aside your laptops, and as he was about stand up to leave. You spoke up wanting to ask him something.
“Did you mean what you said the last time?”
“Do you think I’d just say that as a joke? Do you think that lowly of me?” He said his voice was ice cold and he seemed hurt.
“No not at all Lee. But I never answered you.” You said as he turned to look at you finally sparing you a glance.
“What do you want to say?” He said irritated that you were still talking about that.
“I like you too, is that a good answer for you?” You were a bit nervous and hesitant to say it but what did you have to lose?
Lee stayed silent for a moment the silence seemed to last for decades, but then he spoke up his voice soft and full of warmth like always.
“Really? You’re not messing with me?” He said his voice full of hope, it seemed surreal that his best friend liked him back.
You nodded and he quickly stepped in front of you, he looked at your lips then at you as if asking for permission. You softly said yes and he gently kissed your lips, the warmth of your lips was a heavenly feeling. He slowly pulled away and shut the door, he sat on the edge of his bed letting you settle in his lap. You kissed him while he let his hands settle onto your waist, your hands wrapped around his neck. Clearly you guys were both too into it because suddenly the door opened and his aunt was at the door.
Katherine gasped and you pulled away to look, you noticed both his aunt and Isaac at the door. His aunt was obviously pissed and Isaac was smiling proudly for his brother finally getting a girl.

You guys were downstairs getting scolded by his aunt, you nodded along to her new set of rules. While Lee kept his gaze on you most of the time, his hand even got closer to yours. You guys got off with a warning and she left the room, Lee looked at you before speaking.
“Does this mean we’re dating?”
“Definitely.”
