Had been away recently, currently ill but working with some projects. This is a little experiment I did with 360. It was an adaptation of a drawing that didn't make it to the final version of a project. The pavilions in it are by Smiljan Radić (2014) and Bjarke Ingels (2016) at the Serpentine Galleries. HDB by Lee Xin Li, Singapore's talented and independent illustrator. #Didyouknow know? HDB is credited with clearing squatters and resetting residents into low cost state built housing in the 1960s. Led by the late Lim Kim San, the HDB's policies were largely in line with the manifesto set out to promote social cohesion and patriotism within country. Finally bought my copy of "On the Yellow Top", a sticker book that pays homage to the iconic yellow and black taxis as well as the estates of Dakota and Katong. I have imagined the book as a sort of journal or passport to scribble on with stickers of places you have been to, inspired by the stamps in Japan and passports. . Special thanks to @oicsingapore and @supermamasg for the opportunity and patience. Do check out the sticker books by @illobyanngee , @kaiyeetay , @likefireatsea and @yell0w too . Supermama is one of the exhibitors at the upcoming exhibition at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre next week which was designed by DP Architects. Singapore Art Book Fair (@singaporeartbookfair) takes place over the weekend at @gillmanbarracks . Was fortunate to be given the opportunity by @oicsingapore and @supermamasg to work on a sticker book entitled "On the Yellow Top" which pays homage to the iconic yellow top taxis and the estates of Katong and Dakota. How well do you know your kuehs? (Photos courtesy of Lee Xin Li) Looking through the kueh chart above, one may be surprised at the variety of yummy delicacies that are available in our region. And many of us have probably tried most of them, but have no clue what their names are.

Which is why we are getting a kick out of this cute and mouthwatering kueh illustrations designed by Singapore illustrator and blogger Lee Xin Li, who posted them on Behance on 1 October. In an accompanying note, he explained that the illustrations were a part of a "proposal" he did for a Peranakan restaurant (which one could it be?). He went on to say that his illustrations for each kueh had led to the "discovery" of more kuehs he "never knew".

The illustrations are available for print orders in sizes A1, A2 and A3.
