#REALRESULTS Member Story Of The Day: Repairing The Car Repair "I’m a busy TV crew member and typically work 10-14 hour days. Like everyone, I feel my time (and time off) is extremely valuable. A few months ago I took my vehicle in for service at very reputable shop for an oil change. No big deal, right? After I picked up my car, I noticed the engine sounded a little strange and it suddenly had a noticeable oil leak. I went back to the shop for them to take a look at it, and seems they added oil without draining the old oil first, so it was overfilled by 4 quarts and the pressure blew out the rear main seal causing the oil leak. The shop drained the oil, but then refused to take responsibility for the new leak. I left the shop pretty ticked off and feeling like I'd been treated really unfairly. So, I pulled out my phone, tapped my app and called LegalShield once I got home. The attorney who called me back recommended I get a few estimates for repair to him, so I did. Then, he wrote a demand letter to the shop that messed up my car for the amount of the repair while I took my car elsewhere to be repaired.
