Armin gave a slow blink, gripping the blanket that was on his body before rolling over and situating the blanket over Jean and him. “Sorry— Didn’t mean to,” he croaked out, tucking himself right in the crook of the other’s body, eyelids heavy.

"Sasha." He groans and leans against the closed door of the girl's room, knocking to try and wake her up.

"Uuuuurg." A loud groan comes from the girls’ room, followed by a soft thump and some shuffling. The door creaked open to reveal Sasha wrapped in a blanket, hair down and messy, rubbing at her eyes tiredly. “What do you want, Jean?”

Nephilim AU -- Closed Starter for Legitjean

Eren winced in pain. The human trainees he'd been with the previous day were doing cannon drills, and all the other Nephilim he was now assigned to were already doing basic flight training... Eren, on the other hand, was left to stand on the parade ground, trying to get his wings to obey him. He stretched his right arm out again, then flexed his hand, focusing his entire mind on his wings... they didn't budge.

God damnit, Eren... Focus! You can't let the world taunt you like this. He let out a soft growl and tried again, and again... Spread your right wing.

It didn't work. He dropped his hand to his side and spent a few minutes clearing his head. Then he decided to try a different tactic. Shift your right wing. He fell to his knees, let his arms go limp, and closed his eyes. Shift. Your. Right. Wing. Shift. Your right. Wing. A deep breath, Move it.

God damnit, why was is so difficult? The other trainees would be back soon, and he couldn't lose more time from training trying to learn to control his wings. I will not let this chance pass me by. I'll learn to fly even if it means breaking along the way.

Next, Eren focused on trying to imitate the other trainees. With his eyes closed, he flexed the muscles in his back in an attempt to make his wings at least shift. If he could just get his wings to move a little, he could work on that until he had full control. This, too, didn't get him anywhere, and slumped forward, tears mixing with the parade ground dirt. Why? Why can't I control my wings?
