Type Axiom 2.0, Unit 07, <Gladiator>

Here comes the last one of Type Axiom 2.0, Gladiator. There are a lot of design elements from the original Atlas series by using large amount of pieces of 35341 (the flat piece with angle), which I found super versatile because they won’t cause clear layers when stacking, thanks to the curved edges. Also, this piece can show great layering effect without using many other pieces.

By adopting the versatility of piece 35341, I am able to create the shape of the waist and head, the front leg amour, , the shape of asymmetrical leg which I really like the outcome, and a very clean thrust at the backpack, especially the little holes created by this wonder piece.

Originally, there is A LOT of orange elements for this unit; however, as I want to make it less comic but more realistic, I reduce the orange elements to a decorative level while giving the main stage to light grey and dark beige.

Type Axiom 2.0, Unit 03, <Valkyrie>

For this Unit, I decided to make it a little slimmer than other Units I have made, where you can see the shoulders are one plate thinner. However, I wanted to keep the military theme going for this one, so I utilized large amount of beige. I certainly liked the chemistry between purple and beige, which makes overall look pop more and add some intereting contrast.

Just a heads up, you will see a very similar waist design for few MOCs going forward. Part of the reason is that it actually turned out well aesthetically. More important reason is that I ran out of coordinating pieces to make more complicated detials.😂😂

Type Axiom 2.0 - Unit 01 <Beelzebub>

Unit 01 is modified based on its 1.0 version. The differences focus on the change of its mid section construction which echos the essence of Type Axiom 2.0. Shoulder armours were added, and feet are redesigned to not only have better visual effect but also with flexible front parts.

I had made a foldable beam sword, but it causes too much trouble when posing so I simplified it, 😂😂😂. A more visible thrust is added to the backpack to go with the new wings design.

Last but not least, two horns were added to the head. I took inspiration of Uluqiorra from Bleach.

Originally, I wanted to make a throne for it to sit on but I don’t t have much bigger bricks and really not good at making furnitures, so I borrow the Tumblr for it to sit on, haha.

Type Axiom 2.0 Unit 02 <Direwolf>.

Finished my week long of babysitting, now I am back to do some proper shootings for the post!

I have been wanting to do some mechs with multiple colour combinations for a while. Among those ideas, a dark body/ light limbs combiaiton is something i always aim at. So here comes the Unit 02 <Direwolf>.

The claw sheid here came from an experimental mech that did not end up being recorded. I chose this dark red and slash of gold tones to make the body colour more intersting otherwise all dark grey seems to be pretty dull. I also discover a new piece to make it more visual pleasing for the shape of the gun.

🚨New Lego MOC🚨 - Type Astro

When you see you this, it means the previous WIP has been finished even there are not too many ideas carried to this finished version.

The fundamental idea of Type Astro is about installing a cockpit inside the chest in comparison to Type Abyssus, whose cockpit is at the back. The ideas are largely influenced by the Ultra Man SH figures that my son recently acquired.

You can tell the arm connection is quite different from Type Atlas as my WIP post was more of an Atlas with cockpit. Also, the articulate mid section is the key to the build to not just give addition body proportion, but also bring better flexibility for posing.
