Lego Architecture - Leaning Tower of Pisa
This was a project i had in my head for months. What stopped me was I simply didn't have the set.
This took many, many tests and experiments. I did about 9 tests total before the main photo itself. Over the course of these tests I figured out what camera settings were best, if it should be all shot at half brightness or full, how many bricks to take away at a time, the best way to overlay the photos together, the works! Below is an early test.
The final photo itself comprised of 15 photos, each photo removing half a layer of the tower. Imagine slicing a cake's top layer in half, basically. Here's photo 15. I constructed from the bottom to the top.
I'm super happy with the final results and the time lapse/ghost look. Subtle but its there and has a cool effect.
Set itself is great. I love it. The minimal white is just so pleasant. Bigger than it looks as well. Build is repetitive but kinda fun. That part could be Stockholm syndrome however, I've taken apart and rebuilt this set many times.
