High and Lows for the Weekend

High

Birthday -- Lunch at Redondo Pier with Andrew, Mom, Grandma, Uncle Lee Wen, Uncle Lee Long, Britta, and Peter and Simon who are friends with Uncles. Got a Benjamin from Dad, Grandma, and Uncles and two shirts from mom (Lincoln quicksilver shirt and Oxide tank). The food was great and we got a bunch of free stuff since the owner is friends with Uncle Lee Long but the bill was still $450. Me and Andrew were tilted prior because it was supposed to be a birthday celebration and Mother’s Day celebration. Also the restaurant played this obnoxious Happy Birthday Song which went on for three cycles and Andrew hid in the bathroom when he heard it go off. And mom brought these noise makers which everyone was blowing. Monkey-themed chocolate cake.

La Romera with Amanda, Hana, Lehka, Andrew, Owen, Justin Pak and Alex Mills. Beat Lehka at basketball but she beat me at Tennis zZz. Oh and its funny how Amanda, Hana, Lehka all had tennis lessons at one point so they’re all solid at Tennis. The FB chat  (the name is too cringe for me to say or type lmao) had me laughing throughout the weekend too. Then yogurtland afterwords (NO MOCHI LIKE WTF SHOULD’VE WENT TO PINKBERRY) and Lehka and Amanda tried to pay for my yogurt but I tricked them into not doing it.

Played a ton of league, a lot of it with Young. I was resolved to be tristana main but now I’m trying to get Lucian on dualstorm because I got the skin from a chest and am going top/jungle. 

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, IT WAS SO GOOD, best movie I’ve seen I think. And eating out with the calc kids (yong jae, Lehka, Hana, Tiffany) on Thursday at Pan was fun because of the SpyFall, Can you see polar bears from here? Lehka always forgot to ask questions, Tiffany was garbanzo beans and never wanted to be at the location and Yong Jae also always didn’t want to be there. 

Low

No Awana because Mother’s day and it was just David Jang and Sarah Choi doing praise which I expected because its Mother’s Day. Got eh boba from the Lollicup in China Town after Church tho. 

Social media is kind of cancerous (the aspect about seeing other people’s lives) like it lowers ego, raises saltiness and just negative sentiments. But this can be used as motivation which isn’t working so hot so. 

Vincent’s mom talked to me on Thursday while dropping me off at del amo about going to Prom with Scotty and Vincent but with no dates which is an interesting prospect. But Scotty is probably going to ask someone so that shouldn’t work. Anyways the low aspect is prom in general like tilt me. 

Random

Tried overwatch, decided not to spend the 60 to buy it.

Randomly snapchatted Jessica Xu and we ended up talking about how when she’s a business/corporate person and I’m a prosecutor I’ll let her go for being shady which was funny. Apparently at least 30 penn kids are going to UCB. 

Practiced driving with grandma’s prius and I think being in the car with Hana, Lehka, and Michael and observing and commenting and occasionally criticizing their driving has helped my driving.

High and Lows for the Weekend so far

Context: 3 day weekend, no school for West on Friday for some reason.

High

- Going to La Romera on Friday. Tennis was the highlight probably; Michael is good for someone who doesn’t play except he can’t run, Hana has a wicked return hit when she lands it, Tiffany is garbanzo beans, and Lehka is actually alright for someone who doesn’t play but has two new rackets in her car (hmm..). lmao @ Wii tennis rules, Michael refusing to get S-MART sushi when everyone else likes it, other stuff I forgot. Michael started driving today! He almost hit a car changing lanes even though he checked his blind spot when we were going to Costco rip. 

- Vincent’s house. There’s always a set of feelings I get when I sleep over at Vincent’s. Feeling bad that he’s not coming to mine and I’m going to his, wondering what his parents are going to ask me this time, regretting not appreciating the league time when I go home, him saying we can do a-z when we really just do a-e. Highlight: His mom made pho which was soooo good. Oh yeah, @macandsalsa gave me a ride to La Romera the day after and I fell asleep because I’m a lightweight after all-nighters when she was picking me up (I’M SORRY). 

- TF2. I got this wicked trickstab on a pyro today. I’m glad I can do them now I just need to get better. Caught up on the Big Bang Theory today too.

Low

- Family. So I was tired after the all-nighter the day before and went to bed at 9? Mom asked me to do the dishes tho and kept coming to my room and saying Dad was mad I wasn’t doing the dishes. Andrew came in at like 11 and said the same thing so I showered and then went to do them. By that point i was just grouchy because I didn’t understand why they had to bug me to do it when they could just go to sleep and it’d be done by morning. Anyways Andrew has been making the blow pop+jolly rancher+extremes lollipops and a bunch of jolly rancher wrappers were just dumped in the sink (like wtf, 1) put trash in the trash can not in the sink for others to clean 2) why do I have to clean up your “project” remains) plus the pans from last night’s dinner which meant no one did the dishes yesterday. So this all just tilted me but I thought to myself I won’t even be here in like 6 months and Andrew will have to clean up his own crap then so I’ll just it now. Tilt Tilt Tilt

So this low further was augmented by today because Dad got mad at me for leaving the garage door open which I just forgot to do and at Andrew for bringing a friend home and then trying to hide it when Dad came unexpectedly and for going airsofting after the Awana bonding. Idk its just been a resentful weekend for family so far and I’ve been just thinking to myself I can take this for a couple more months because college (and idk if this new rationale is a good thing) Also I “made” my dinner today and I was reminded of how I have this feeling of resentment when Mom makes dinner that is just frozen foods.
