I had this concept a while ago of a spin-off series set in an undefined time (18 month timeskip either before or after s5 except with everyone alive and in love) called Hired & Fired and it's basically a miniseries of robin and steve, and each episode they are shown to be hired at a new job, whether at the movie theatre, melvalds, hawkins elementary/middle/high (could do all three in one ep), the garage, the pool, church/hospital volunteering, etc.

The plot each ep was essentially they're at their job, they're given a task, something goes wrong. And each time one of them will say the line "I know a guy" and it's one of the party.

They're teaching assistants at hawkins elementary and they need a backdrop for the school play in less than 3 hours and neither of them have touched a paintbrush since they were in elementary? Will byers is on the scene.

They're working retail at radio shack and some fancy electronics are bugging out? Dustin Henderson is your man.

The town hall is a mess of unorganized volunteers setting up for the Starcourt mall fire rememberance? Mike wheeler is up on the stage commanding uni students like the army.

They accidentally got rid of a wedding photographer and the ceremony is about to start in twenty minutes? Jonathan byers is locked and loaded.

And by the end of each ep their boss somehow finds reason to get them both fired, and they always end the ep in steves house watching family video and eating takeout, sometimes with whoever helped them that ep. Ofc with background byler and rockie and henderhop and lumax and either jancy or stonathan (I can't decide) and references to their previous jobs

Idk this idea came to me when I was having a stim sesh what do we think

Jane = elsa

Will = anna

Mike = kristoff

Carlton = hans

And ofc Joyce and hopper as the parents, but now idk how to fit the rest of the party into it. Lucas and Dustin and Sven and Olaf?? And jonathan as grandpapi troll lmao idk. Maybe Steve and robin as the primary singers in the troll love song?? But idk who max would be.... Oaken?? Bc then she gets to kick mike out her store??? Idk there's not much room for the whole cast but omfg the buzz it gave me while watching the movie was crazyyy. Imagine EVERYONE gasping when carlton tells will if only there was someone who really loved him and mike is like HAH I KNEW IT I NEVER LIKED HIM and Jane gets to see a version of herself free but also ending up with love and acceptance and will getting the happily ever after he deserves

Socmed au where will and mike have a side acc PURELY for them being a gay couple bc they realised straight ppl eat that shit up, so on their "big gay bucks" acc it's literally them doing cringy coupley stuff and they get THOUSANDS of followers/likes for it

Meanwhile on their spams it's lipsinc cleradin cosplays that also get loads of likes just from fellow nerds and no one connects the two since the audiences are on opposite sides of the algorithm

Will had a small crush on hiccup since the first httyd film and everyone trashed him for it, but then when they watched the sequel everyone was immediately all over hiccup when he got his glowup and will got very indignant and stingy about it:
