Couple fun facts about the early days of the dsmp fandom 2020 era that I don't want forgotten pulled from the Phistin discord server discussion.

I do truly adore your Kristin

Trying to have the same energy with mine lol

There is actually a method I use, I write characters dialogue while I listen to their CCs vods, it helps me pick up their speech patterns and sentance structure but I did takes some notes on Kristin in particular.

Likes alcohol, specifically uses the slang "booze"

says "like" "well" "maybe" "perhaps" "hmm" alot, these filler words purposefully make her sound more uncertain

Self depreciating humor, especially around how certain aspects of Minecraft still confuse her

Super vague when describing things

Unless something in minecraft is threatening her life she is incredibly casual and she is very unfazed by whatever chaos is happening in Minecraft or chat

She says alot of stuff that riles up chat or Phil and pretends she didn't do it on purpose, her words "I like pushing his buttons." and you can see from her trolling TTS or walking in on stream to scare him or shoot him with a nerf bullets and much much more. Kristin likes messing with chat by needlessly going out of her way to murdering mobs (death for the goddess of death) or make crude sex jokes

She makes so many dirty jokes, oneday maybe I'll make a compilation of the out of pocket things she says. I am afraid to put what she actually says in my comic in fear that it might come across that I'm being creepy cuz making jokes about your "child birthing hips." being too big for mens pants or being calling your group "peggers" or looking forward to staring Minecraft cows "have intercourse" only feels right when you're the one making jokes about yourself

She can go full chaos, Tommyinnit levels of awkwardness

She swears, remember

Live laugh love middle aged wine mom enthusiasm

No kidding she is really funny, she appeals alot to my own sense of humour and I would love to see more of that. Go forth lads and write her chaos.

Origins Origins Bonus drabble

Title: First Kills

Characters: Philza Minecraft, Kristin Trixtin

Warnings/content: angst, nightmares, discussion of death and murder

Somewhere in a shallow mountain cave on the side of cliff stayed Phil and Kristin. It was a good place to stay for the night, far off the ground and only accessible by flight; it was a safe place for both of them to get a good night's sleep, as if these conditions made it possible.

Kristin stared at Phil's sleeping form through the dark. While he was content on the cool stone floor in stiff grey dyed leather armor, sleeping with all his weapons on hand, Kristin was a bit more fickle, having laid out the panda pelt under her, still awake trying to get comfortable in the summer heat.

Phil shifted in his sleep, Kristin noticed and thought nothing of it, until the shifting turned to shaking and mumbling. She scooted closer, equally facinated and concern and so when she was done observing, she put her hand on his shoulder to wake Phil up.

Phil indeed woke up, violently, swinging a hidden knife right towards Kristin, slamming his wrist into the ground, the metal clattering away from them.

"Oh my god, I almost stabbed you."

he choked from fast shallow breaths.

"Nah, you weren't even close."

Having stretched out on her side, propping her chin up with a hand. A complete lack of concern eased the awkwardness for Phil, reaching over for his knife and tucking is back under the armor on his thigh.

"What were you dreaming about?"

"Nothing, it was just a nightmare. Okay, maybe not a nightmare come to think of it. I wasn't exactly the victim."

"Now you got me intrigued, do tell."

"Do you remember your first kill?"

"I do! It was quite a shock to everyone too, nobody had seen anything like it before. That's when I found my purpose.

Fond memories... You?"

"That is what I was dreaming about my first ki- I don't know if what I'm thinking counts."

"So? What was your first kill not kill then?"

Phil sighed.

"Think it was one of my first missions, we started noticing that all of arrows that were being shot at us were all bound with white feathers, which is odd because none of the white birds we knew where being killed.

So we went and tracked down the fletcher that was making these arrows what we found was...

It was an elytravian, not an elytrian, but an avian, chained to wall, their wings so badly plucked we knew that the chick would never fledge therefore never fly. Skinny to the bone, wrists, ankles rubbed raw by shackles, the avian had been there for months. The hunters found out that binding arrows with our feathers made fly better.

We found the fletcher, we tied that bastard up and just started beating him. Something changed in us halfway, we dropped the tools and started ripping into the body using our claws, teeth, stingers and talons.

I say I don't know if it was my first kill because I have no idea who landed the final blow. I do know that the fletcher died long before we stopped...

I remember this specific moment where I looked up to see my friends but instead I saw animals. That moment, that specific moment was what I was dreaming about."

"What happened to the avian?"

"The avian told us where their home was but partway through the journey we got caught in a storm and the chick wasn't strong enough to resist the cold.

We found the home and the family gave them a proper burial... We weren't invited."

"That definitely counts, you killed that fletcher, you all did. You're actually lucky that your first murder was a bad bad man who deserved it, helps you ease into later kills that maybe didn't deserve it but are nessary. More then ever it's kill or be killed."

"Us hybrids are born with talons, horns and teeth, built to kill, while the humans need tools fasioned from the environment and... people, maybe that's why the humans hate hybrids so much, our existence blurrs the line between them from the animals."

Dream SMP is about love actually

I think about Quackity during Las Navadas finale, despite having renounced trust, despite having renounced connections, jumping into lava to try to save Charlie.

I think about Sam during Tommy's attempted assassination of Dream, despite having sworn to enforce the rules of the prison, despite making visitors sign waver, letting Tommy go with only a warning.

I think about Wilbur during Pogtopia/Manberg momentary pulling himself out of spiral to tell Schlatt that he would take Niki's place if Schlatt were to execute another person.

I think about these characters ability to compromise their hard held beliefs for their friends, to choose people over ideology and my emotions have the structural integrity of dry sand.

They can't resist love and neither can I.

O!Sneeg and O!Phil are like Kratos and Mimir from god of war.

One of them rides on the other because they are small and light and don't have much mobility and provides sassy commentary the other is a old devoted single dad, fathered 2 kids: the younger of which is a teenage god and the other is dead, he has died in fire and come back, had a hard childhood/tragic backstory and questionable morals, they trust each other with their inner thoughts but refrain from telling each other how much mean to each other

at some point you gotta ask when you are carrying another person wherever you and going with someone wherever you go to see the world isn't because they're useful, it's for company.

You know when a character goes through a traumatic magical experience and starts reacting aggressive, impulsive, self aggrandizing, disobedient, saying horrible things they wouldn't normally say and reacting positively to being antagonized? Showing a realistic depiction of generally demonized reactions to trauma, showing not only how lashing out hurts others but self destructive tendancies come from the irrational desire to be feared to discourage any who would traumatize them again. You want the other characters to realize although they are not obligated to give it, what the characters needs is kindness and to be showed how their actions make others sad instead of giving them the familiarity of conflict they unhealthly want and think they deserve?

and then the magic making them "evil" gets undone in a second and they return to normal and you realize you were relating to something made to be as unlikable as possible? 🤡

I know that pretty much everyone in my orbit hates staged disc finale for the plot holes and contrivances but the thing that doesn't ruin it for me is that all it does is shift the title of cDrean betrayer from cPunz to cSam, was definitely not within cDrean's plan for Sam to turn on him thus why cDrean for some dumb reason wanted to "stay in the prison but stayed longer then planned"

Stupid, dumb, wasn't genuine

"We can put him in the prison."

True change of heart that developed over the season, accumulation of all the little good deeds done behind cDrean's back, choosing the ppl Sam cares about over the guy who pays him, the well intentioned start down the road to hell.
