honestly i’m probably waiting the season out before i start watching again. we’re two eps behind and nothing i’ve seen has made me want to catch up…

honestly tho? that’s a good idea. each episode i’m wondering why i bother to watch it live. their handling of mick is just the tip of the iceberg for everything that’s wrong with the show

The Flash 01 - Coldwave Family

Idea che già avevo in mente da un po’, MIck che arriva a casa con Aiden e ha qualche spiegazione da dare. Tanta tenerezza... tanta tanta proprio... :3 Buona Lettura~ 

Quando Mick arrivò a casa con uno zainetto blu sgualcito su una spalla e un bambino che non avrà avuto più di 5 anni ben saldo contro il suo collo Len pensò che gli sarebbe caduta a terra la mascella se non stava attento. Seguì con lo sguardo il compagno che senza averlo degnato di un saluto né, tantomeno, di una spiegazione stava posando lo zainetto a terra e il bambino su uno degli sgabelli davanti al tavolo con qualche difficoltà, Len non aveva mai visto qualcuno così piccolo aggrapparsi con così tanta forza a Mick, si alzò dal divano e si avvicinò a loro senza distogliere lo sguardo. «Cosa significherebbe questo?» Domandò col tono più neutrale che riuscì a trovare, non riusciva davvero a dare un senso a quella scena, non capiva cosa un bambino ci facesse in casa loro né perché. Di tutta risposta il bambino sentendo una voce sconosciuta arrivare alle sue spalle si lasciò scappare un gridolino e tornò saldamente aggrappato e nascosto contro Mick che sospirò, arreso. «È una lunga storia.» Iniziò alzando lo sguardo verso Len, quest’ultimo incrociò le braccia al petto e si appoggiò allo stipite della porta in attesa che continuasse. «Carole, sua madre... Noi... Lei...» Incespicò nelle parole prima di sospirare, nuovamente, e sedersi portandosi il piccolo in braccio. «Non l’ho rapito né nulla del genere, Len, sai che non farei mai una cosa simile.» Ricominciò con più calma passando una mano nei capelli castani del bambino. «Quattro anni fa, dopo tutto quel casino con il colpo al museo, sono stato a Keystone City, ho incontraro Carole e abbiamo passato la notte insieme.» Len roteò gli occhi annoiato a quella notizia. «Questo non spiega perché... Lui è qui.» decretò, non che fosse arrabbiato per la presenza del bambino, o per il fatto che Mick glielo aveva tenuto segreto per quattro anni, era solo un po’ infastidito. «C’è stato un problema e Carole non è in... Condizione di occuparsi di Aiden.» Esitò un attimo cercando le parole migliori, non voleva spiegarlo mentre il piccolo era presente, non ancora. La prima cosa che passò per la testa di Len fu che finalmente, dopo 20 minuti il piccolo koala aveva un nome, Aiden Rory suonava anche bene; poi capì che non sarebbe stata veramente temporanea quella cosa, da come Mick aveva esitato doveva essere accaduto qualcosa di grave, qualcosa nel comportamento silenzioso del bambino gli ricorda Lisa ma ricacciò indietro il pensiero, non era il momento, Mick intuì comunque dal suo silenzio e sorrise appena scuotendo la testa. «Non così tanto, Lenny, non così tanto.» Mormorò voltandosi verso Aiden e sussurrandogli qualcosa, il piccolo voltò appena la testa verso Len, gli occhi erano come quelli di Mick, forse appena più brillanti e tendenti al verde, una mano lasciò andare la maglia che stringeva, l’altra rimase ben salda al suo posto, e lo salutò. Non disse nulla, non sorrise, si limitò a scuotere la manina nella sua direzione per qualche secondo prima di affondare di nuovo il volto contro la spalla del padre. Mick guardò Len, c’era qualcosa nel suo sguardo, qualcosa che non sapeva come chiamare. «Non sarà facile.» Disse avvicinandosi lentamente senza far rumore, gli occhi erano rimasti puntati tutto il tempo su Mick e Aiden, sul modo in cui il bambino si nascondeva, per timidezza o paura, in un modo così simile a Lisa quando era piccola, nel modo in cui Mick lo teneva stretto senza fargli male, in cui lo proteggeva. Non aveva mai pensato che sarebbe arrivato un giorno simile, non si era mai immaginato con dei bambini, non dopo il disastro di infanzia e adolescenza che aveva avuto, non dopo la vita che aveva scelto, non aveva mai immaginato Mick con un bambino eppure più li guardava e più sembrava una cosa assurdamente naturale, giusta. «Lo so.» Mormorò Mick abbassando lo sguardo. Len chiuse la distanza tra di loro mentre la porta di casa si apriva e Lisa entrava ignara di tutto, si chinò verso di lui con una mano posata sullo schienale dello sgabello come a voler chiudere entrambi in un abbraccio senza contatto. «Troveremo il modo. Uno qualsiasi. Ce la caveremo.» Soffiò sulle sue labbra prima di baciarlo ignorando lo squittio sorpreso della sorella quando, facendo il giro del tavolo, notò il bambino.

Who proposed? - Len was talking to the Stanley Cup. Mick overheard him. Evan overheard him. Evan has a big mouth. Axel cannot be stopped when the word gets to him.

Who is the best man/men? - Mark. He kind of wishes he was drunk right now to get through this but he has to admit the suit they got him really makes his ass look fantastic.

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - It’s the Stanley Cup with a bow. Axel makes ‘her’ move by a remote controlled radio car strapped to the base.

Who did the most planning? - Does getting the beer count as ‘planning’? Mick, probably. He cleared it through James to get an official paper cause like hell he’s letting this joke die without commitment.

Who stressed the most? - They lost Len for four days after the bachelor party. Mick was more stressed about that than anything.

How fancy was the ceremony? -Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big | The cellar of a hideout never looked more lovely

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - They invited Wally and then in big bold letters with huge underlines “ONLY WALLY. NO BARRY. GRANDPA NEED NOT APPLY (ASSHOLE)”

Who is on top? -There’s no penetrative at first. Not for a long-ass time. Just a lot of angry man rolling and frotting so either, really

Who is the one to instigate things? - Mick is a very patient man since his monk training. Len is not.

Len was proud, probably tried, but also beat his ass afterwards when his nose started bleeding.

“You get out of bed, i see.” Lisa’s smile was mischievous, Len arched an eyebrow looking at the sister, who was still smiling, then he looked at the boy on the screen who was muttering something about starting the drift test, his face getting red. He turned to his sister, then shrugged, he will have all the answer he need in a couple of minute. […] “Don’t chase the rabbit, Len!” He knew that, he was a good and expert pilot, he just couldn’t help himself, all he could see was his co-pilot covered in blood. He always thought that they were invincible in their jaeger, but they weren’t and now he was alone with his memories and guilty.

OK… I won’t write that in english, and obviously not at 2am… 😵 I wanted a pacific rim AU with Len and Mick, i could’t find anything so… I’ll write it..(in italian…. Only italian.)

Falling three times - On Ice

It was a clear cold day, far under the freezing point with clear blue skies and almost no wind. The perfect weather to go ice skating on the frozen lake just outside Central. AND Mick hated it. Hated it more than he could put into words – and if it would include mostly fucks – but not as much as hell but that kind of was the point of hell. Ultimately it wasn’t “HELL were your mildly uncomfortable” but “HELL there is no worse place to go”.

However he still was OUT, like OUT OF THE HOUSE and packed in five layers of clothes. From his hands hanged a set of borrowed skates from the quickly set up shop, which appeared whenever it was cold enough for quick cash. Mick quickly walked around the lake, pacing families and group of teenagers trying to get blackmail material on video, until he is in the more remote spot where he knows Cold would be. There might not be as recognizable without their costumes, but being spotted always ruined a stress free day.

Len was pacing aimless around the ice, half lingering in the few happy moment of his past, whenever he and Lisa skated together and half forcing himself to get a clear head and plan the next heist. The cold air always helped him think.

A frown appears on his face when he spoted a man standing at the spot where he changed his shoes. He intentionally had chosen this spot to have a trouble free day. The skates picked up pace and the man appearance get clearer with each time the skates glide over the ice. The second he is five strides from the edge, his hand ready on the cold gun,  hidden under the long coat -just to be safe- when he finally pics up on the familiarly of the frame, packed in more layer of clothes to be comfortable with.

“Mick?”

“He Len, care if I join you?”

And isn’t that a sight? Heat Wave in ice skates. “Sure.” Len glanced to his shoes and notice that they now stand neatly together and not like before placed wherever he put them down, Mick’s stand neatly next to them.

Mick hadn’t actually planned to skate. He had thought that someone would have to held a complicated named gun to his head before he would even consider ice skating. Borrowing the skates had been to raise no suspicions to get the map of the lakes where the safe areas to skate where marked. He went to the most remote and dangerous place because with a cold gun breaking ice wasn’t a problem to worry about. But when he had seen Cold skating on the ice and a kind of rarely experience feeling -a bit adventures- had overcome him and before his rational mind had caught up he had laced the skates. It still didn’t mean he had a plan how to not fall on his ass.

Somebody once said that it was like roller skating (which he had done a few times in his teenager years but he had been more mediocre in it but it defiantly was better than nothing). When he tried to move forward on the ice it became clear that, oh fuck, it totally wasn’t the same or he had no clear memory of roller skating with may also be true or both for that matter. His arm circulated more and more with each time he lifted each skate just an inch over the ice. And in the moment he were he was pretty sure he would say hi to the ice, hands grapped his under arms.

“Easy there”. Cold had watched a lot of amusing things in his life, most of them included Flash falling - mostly literally-, but watching Heat Wave trying to hold his balance as he barely moved an inch forward was just undefinable.

Still grinning he quickly passed the distance between the two of them and steadied Mick as it became clear that Mick would hurt himself. After his partner in crime seemed to not fall over the next moment he began skating backwards, the words “let me show you” hanging between them. They skated a few small rounds, he of course having no problems with skating backwards, connected by the mutual grab on the under arms. Feeling confident enough in his teaching abilities he let go. But Mick wasn’t a bit better than before, he may be even worse, which was considered impossible.

Len let go and Mick lost balance the second it happened. In a fit of “not wanting to fall on the cold cold ice” he grapped the nearest thing, that were Lens arms. Even throw his gloves and the crinkled coat he could feel Lens tensing upper arms as he pulled himself into balance. Mick leaned heavily on Len.  Their noses almost touched.

And there was the feeling again and this time not just small candlelight in his gut and more like somebody set his whole body in flames and this time  wasn’t just adventures it was, was mixed with something like fondness and maybe, maybe even something he didn’t  want to name yet. And Len’s lips were so stupid cold, but also a bit warm in itself, like lips sometimes tended to be.

Len was shocked about the outcome of the situation, before he thought to himself “Why the fuck not”. Mick lips were even in these cold temperatures warm and pleasant against his and he probably should have cut Piper more slake. This just felt right. He quickly gripped the fabric of Micks jacket to steady them both and of course to get Mick closer.

Gloved fingers stroked over his cheeks and Len used the opportunity to lick the other ones lips to get to the more fun part. Len didn’t expect that Mick to ipps – or whatever you call that- and pulling away with such a force that he managed to lose balance and felt backward on the ice, Cold right on top of him.

“What the FUCK?!”

Mick looked at him, his face as red as one of his fires. “I didn’t expect that”
