In watercolor your “white” comes directly from the paper. There is no painting white watercolor paint. This is a challenging concept to grasp. To paint a white flower, you must paint everything that is not white. By far the most challenging painting in quite a while, these artists were up to the task and have lovely and charming paintings to show for it. Next month we plan to paint pink dogwood and I promise it will be an easier class and less taxing.
