Hi! Could I get Leo (fates) headcanons with an s/o who wants to be able to ride Pegasus or wyverns but has a huge fear of heights?

It's so nice to have so many Leo lovers out here! Although I'm more of a Jakob enjoyer. And I know that my default is Corrin but this time I feel like I'll write it as an total reader insert.

Leo with S/O who wants to fly but has a fear of heights

Reader here is gender neutral

He often saw how you looked at the sky and it was pretty much obvious what you wanted.

But he never saw you even try, so he was quite surprised to say the least.

So of course he'd ask you about it directly. After finding out about your fear he promised not to tell anyone if you don't want it known and he did also promise to help you overcome it.

Efficiency was key, so he didn't waste a second to prepare a simple plan. He started off with helping you feel safe, next was you getting used to heights that will get higher the more you train.

More details were thought of as you went but he ended up being with you on your flying companion for the beginning.

His words were calming, he helped you focus but made it so you were not depending on him to not feel afraid.

He took this matter rather seriously so he did show you some tough love here and there.

However he did support you fully, although there were some teasing remarks here and there he provided you with great guidance even though he wasn't an expert on the matter.

So should you want to improve, after getting rid of your fears you should get a new teacher. Since Leo just isn't as experienced as others in that area.

Seeing where you are headed he takes your hand, stopping you "I was just about to check those... But it's best if we ignore them. It was left by that mage who stole your voice so even if it's just a harmless prop I wouldn't touch that" if the enemies wanted him to investigate the papers it gave him enough reasons to ignore them.

*Snippets of her own voice floated out into the hall as Camilla led her toward the sound. She wasn't certain what that mage was using her voice for, but it couldn't be good.*

*The door shut in front of them, and footsteps could be heard from inside. She recognized the gait as Leo's. Whatever he was about to do probably wasn't going to end well.*

*She tried to open the door herself, but she wasn't used to the weight and the process was slow. At least, only until Camilla moved her out of the way and showed her how it was done. As soon as the grand door was open wide enough for her to squeeze through, she ran to Leo and grabbed his wrist so he'd notice her. Her expression was clearly worried; she didn't know if anything had been done to him, yet.*

Weren't you..." as he noticed you haven't said a word yet he became frustrated "Agh I can't believe I was fooled by that spell so easily" he was disappointed in himself for not recognizing that it wasn't you. He just hoped it was over with and he allowed himself to make a mistake that could've cost his life if he didn't hesitate just then.

"We just need to find this pest. You two remember how the one who stole Y/N's voice looks like, right?" Camilla was the only one who missed out but she was prepared to make up for it.

*This was bound to happen. Wariness was prudent at times like these. Not as though she would worry! The onmyoji would simply stick to the script.*

"I don't have much time...while I was in the room with...Reina...I was able to obtain a few documents I noticed tucked away on her person. Of course, I could not mention them to you before my voice was taken care of, but I finally had time to look at them after I was healed. It came to pass that I was wrong about them being documents; they were letters, but some of the writing is in Hoshidan. From what I could make out, they were instructions, and ones that are eerily similar to the events that have unfolded already today. I never did study the language, though if you can translate it...well, we could forge a definite plan to avoid all of this. No being caught off guard, no surprises...and the fewest number of casualti-"

*The sound of the doors opening cut her off, and she grinned as her accomplice entered with a stolen voice of his own.*

"Miss, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. The coronation will begin soon."

"Please, this is important! I...just a bit more time-"

"I'm sorry, but there are no exceptions unless cleared by the future king, himself."

"But I..." she gave a genuine pause, as though thinking it through, herself, "...very well. I will trust that you can figure everything out yourself, Lord Leo; I left the letters on the table. Please be safe!"

*The doors closed, and the duo snuck back to the room with their other "friends". A flawless performance, naturally. She almost fooled herself! The mage didn't quite understand where the young prince's wariness was coming from, though. If he didn't care to investigate even now...well, perhaps that woman was never important enough for him to listen to.*

"Alright then..." He couldn't exactly figure out when you'd have the time to search her... But he ultimately decided to trust the voice he was hearing. The whole situation leave him with a lot of stress so perhaps it was what made him so suspicious of everything. It got to the point where he didn't trust Y/N's voice when he heard it. It was truly ridiculous.

Just as he was about to step outside to investigate the table Camilla and Y/N finally caught up.

*Finding Lord Leo to be alone in one of the dressing rooms near the ceremonial grounds, the mage smiled. It seemed the day's work would not be foiled after all.*

*So maybe the group was already on plan C, but someone had done the painstaking work of learning who was closest to Lord Leo and who he seemed to value most. Of course, Lady Camilla was off the table and retainers were scarcely seen alone, but this woman seemed to rank high on the list.*

*A sigh was given as the onmyoji began to funnel sounds into Lord Leo's dressing room. It would be troublesome if too many people nearby heard this...not that there were many people nearby. It was a fortunate turn of events that it was apparently considered bad luck in Nohr if anyone came into the future king's preparatory space. *

*The mage ducked into the designated room, then used the woman's voice.*

"Lord Leo, are you here? I was told I could only come so far as this room, but I found something you may want to see before you leave for the ceremony."

*Speech patterns had been studied, and the voice has been used. The woman's "nurse" smirked; there was no reason to suspect this wasn't that poor girl.*

He was caught off guard by hearing your voice. Of course he'd be surprised to hear anyone. But with you wanting to see him at a time like this did make him suspicious. He didn't intend to let it show though "May I ask what it is? I had enough surprises for today" he sounded exhausted so he really hoped he was just being paranoid rather than right.

*The healer gave a dutiful nod, turning to help her up.*

"If you could please come with me, miss?"

*She was helped to her feet and led toward the door. At the sound of her name, however, she turned her head and looked to Leo. Did that mean she was attending the ceremony, now? Or did "later" mean another day?*

*She was pulled into the next room before she could respond. Perhaps it was best, then, to lie low and stay away. Reina was still out there, after all.*

*The checkup went fine. A few nerves in her legs were negatively affected by her previous situation, but the healer was able to fix that issue before moving to heal the rest of her body.*

*Strangely, the healing mage practically rushed her out of the room once the checkup was done. She watched as her nurse left toward the coronation without a word. Perhaps there were other duties to tend to there?*

After leaving the room you run into Camilla "Oh, you're still here?" she took a closer look at you "You look much better though. It's good that you got yourself healed up. I can only imagine how worried my dear little brother would be if you tried to put on a brave face" she chuckles "I can't even begin to describe how panicked he was when he left to get help for you~" it was more than just worrying for your ally that's for sure "But no matter, you probably still need some rest right? I won't keep you here for longer if you don't have the time" she waited for your response.
