A blue ghost man for the anon! (prompt)
What's Myrtle and Leon's relationship like? Is it one of necessity? Does Myrtle appreciate Leon, or is he an obstacle?
Leon, despite nearly having his arm taken off by her, is actually really chill about Myrtle basically possessing him. He doesn’t really tell too many people that he’s possessed by some giant, swampy daemon, but he thinks it makes him more legit than other ‘supernatural/ghost fanatics’.
Myrtle isn’t too interested in him, outside of the fact that he is technically now her anchor to the living world. She’s not 100% physical, and she can’t manifest herself physically to anyone (even Leon), but she does appear to him at times. Whether it’s pulling his consciousness into a sort of in-between plane (which is more or less a large swamp) where she’s sorta stuck now, or just her voice talking to him. On rare occasions (& Leon’s ult) he can sorta ‘force summon’ her from his arm, but she’s in a very ghost-like state-- she doesn’t physically bite them, but rather bites off part of their energy/life... and may give it to Leon to in turn prolong both of their lives
Now even tho he’s chill w her, he’s still somewhat nervous about it. She only looks like this gator/snake thing now because she’s partially bound to something physical, which is also why the bite marks all over Leon don’t look like gator bites-- but she’s kinda RLY BIG now, even if not physical. I mean ok u’d be scared if a giant gator/snake thing was staring u down too.
She doesn’t really demand anything at least, nothing’s really caught her interest, beyond some food. And if she has requests, Leon’s p eager to get stuff for her since he’s like an excitable puppy despite his codename of ‘Black Cat’, so she’s glad that he’s a easy to demand from mortal.
... oh, Myrtle HATES his jokes though. Literally is she decides to check in on him and he’s making jokes, she just nope’s right outta there.
How 'fake' was the magic circle Leon received? It seemed to work past expectations...
I mean, I think he was expecting a little more control over what he summoned, which is what he was technically promised; a “real” magic circle that would ‘let him summon anything’. It’s more him not realizing there was a like, ‘genie wish’-quirk to the deal, because it did indeed work & summon something!
He just thought that when the omnic said anything that he’d get to like, talk to his dead grandparents, not whatever hodge-podge of spirits & daemons Myrtle is. That’s partially why he used the circle in the mausoleum he’s currently squatting in, because it was his family’s..... before summoning Myrtle sort of destroyed it.
Also I'm getting a goku-vegeta kind of vibe from Leon and Frank. Like one's there for the laughs while the other is trying to be serious and get shit done, but he can't because goofball gets in the way. If that's not what's happening, it's wasted potential
That was definitely the inspiration behind the drawing Ice/Noah did of the two of them, especially because their height difference is about the same, like about 4 inches I think. That was the first thing he notes too LOL~
Leon’s basically the “how the hell are you not dead?” one of the duo w all the shit he pulls. He cracks jokes a lot ye, and an overall very optimistic view of life despite what’s happened to him-- if a bit much with his few ‘superstitious’ quirks. Frank’s definitely more serious by comparison, but he’s got a rly dry sense of humor/does puns then directs them into something he needs.
“Hey Leon, what do you call an omnic with missing limbs?""Eh? Dunno, what d'ya call 'em?""Disarmed. Now seriously, where did you hide my arms..."
like that sorta shit, he’s funny, but only to ppl he’s close to it seems like. Leon on the other hand is a walking mess of a human, it’s a wonder that Myrtle didn’t flat-out eat him, and tbh Frank probably saves his ass more than he knows whenever Frank is in the area visiting.
I’ll be honest I don’t know how Frank gets work done when he visits Leon, he ends up being more or a babysitter than anything, but somehow he makes it work.
More Leon, feat. @low-res-ice-cube‘s Frank-Install and Myrtle, the ‘ghost/daemon/god-awful monster’ that was summoned via the fake magic circle Leon bought, that tried to eat his arm/face and is partially possessing him. Myrtle is also very big now that she has a physical anchor, though she’s not really physical herself, so most times only Leon can see her. Except instances like when he ults, where he summons her through his arm to chomp down on his enemies.
Leon’s a mess. Frank’s a mess. Myrtle’s a mess. They’re a good group.
When you believe in things that you don't understand then you suffer; superstition ain't the way
spooky ghost man here to be a creepy ghost-loving spook
More Leon~!
I still need to work out his kit/moveset, but eh, he’s not much of a front-liner so idk.
