Undiagnosed ADHD & didn't really understand what was wrong with him, just that there was something wrong with him. until he met Cel, who explained it to him and he cried out of relief, finally being able to understand it.
He has some memory issues in relation to his ADHD and it can become very frustrating.
Inspired/Impressed by Sasha's collection of knives, he startedhis own. Anytime he could find nice & fancy knives, he'd knick them. He likes to think Sasha would be proud of him.
He internalised the "he's not Sasha, but he'll do" (paraphrasing) comment & after that, he desperatly tried to make himself useful.
He'd been in love with Barnes for a long time and didn't know how to handle the jealousy of watching Cel and Barnes flirt until he went "wait. i have two hands, james has two hands, and cel has two hands. alright ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"
He had an existential crisis after dying and spent several days locking himself away, trying to come to terms with it.
In the time leading up to the battle, Carter spent a lot of his time trying to keep everyone's spirits high using his bardic talents.
He often spent the nights pacing arounf his and Barnes' romm, worryiing about the others.
He felt Wilde die, thanks to the telepathic bond.
After Barnes dies, he sticks drawings of him everywhere, desperate to not forget Barnes' face.
