Summary: Who should Hyuna choose: you or Luka? Well, she better figure it out fast!
Word count: 1639 words
Loud laughter, music, and noises filled the whole place, but it felt welcoming, comfortable even. The lights hanging above your table swayed lightly with the movements all around, but you could barely mind the flicking inside the bulb. You, too, were starting to get a bit drunk after those bottles.
It delayed the effects as much as you could, but the alcohol managed to find its way into your bloodstream. You surely didn't feel or look as drunk as the others in the table next to yours, but this was far from sober.
Still, what was there to worry about? What was the harm in having a little fun and getting a little tipsy when the recordings were practically over and the year was about to end?
You weren't really the kind to join the cast in these gatherings, but Hyuna insisted so much that you found your will faltering before you even took note of it. When you stopped to think about it, you were already sitting by her side, cheering before going drinking the first cup.
"Come on, come on," Hyuna encouraged, small giggles tainting her tone as she handled you another bottle. "I'll ask for more food, don't worr— Ah! You should drink some more too, Luka ~" she added, handling the guy sitting by her other side a dose too.
"I'm fine, noona," he mumbled, his eyes half closed while he lowered his gaze to stare at the cup. You could feel the tension coming from Luka, but Hyuna's bright, cheerful attitude had enough energy to force the mood back up on her own.
Still, you could feel his piercing, almost intimidating gaze whenever she gave you her attention. He'd frown at her hanging her arm around your shoulder, pout when she served you a snack or fetched you another cup and rolled his eyes when she tried to tell you a joke — they weren't that great, indeed, but Luka's reactions seemed… excessive if they were just for that.
But you knew they weren't. You knew why he was acting like that and why he would look at you with such anger. He was jealous, awfully so.
"H-Hyuna-nim!" You gasped when she leaned over you, but took the chance to flash Luka with a smug, confident smirk. "You're going to flip the table, behave yourself!"
Luka sighed, annoyed by the sound of your voice. "Let she have f—"
"Ehh? But what's the fun in behaving now?" Hyuna faked a sob, doing an exaggerated motion to hug you before nuzzling her cheek against yours. "Don't nag me now, pleeease ~ Hahah!"
You let out a nervous chuckle, trying to handle her intoxicated affection the best you could while watching out for anything that could make a bigger mess. "I'm not, Hyuna-nim, but what if you spill your drinks? And get your clothes dirty? You need to be careful!"
"Heheh, then you can make me a new fit!" She giggled, lifting her face slightly to look at you. "You always make the prettiest ones for us," Hyuna mused, clueless of the storm forming around her, "right, Luka?"
While it did feel good to tease him once in a while, you did wish Hyuna would stop doing that. Every time she brought you or your name up in the conversation, Luka grew angrier — you just didn't know if it was at you, her or both. It made you feel some sort of guilt, and even fear that it would lead to some sort of catastrophe.
"H-Hyuna-nim, please," you muttered as gently as possible and pushed her body away, "you're embarrass—"
"Hehehey!" Hyuna giggled and swatted at your hands, prying them off her sides. You looked up to her face, and so did Luka on the other side, both sort of dazed by her bright laugh. "Don't tickle me, that's not fah-aHA!"
She squealed, again, as Luka reached and pinched her side, his thumb drilling into the curve of her back with an almost revengeful precision. "Stop making a fuss, noona," he hissed quietly.
"L-Luhuka!" Hyuna whined, turning around and reaching for his hands this time. Her drunk, slower reflexes struggled to keep up with you two and, the more she tried to defend herself, the worst it seemed to get. "P-plehease, not you two! This ihisn't fahair!"
You and Luka exchanged a brief glance, locking eyes like two fighters about to step up in the ring. Hyuna was slowly calming down, one hand holding his and one holding yours, but you two weren't quite done, not when a new matter to compete over just presented itself to you. "L-let's h-have another round, hm? My treat this ti—"
"Wait, noona," Luka interrupted her, clinging to her arm like a stray puppy looking for attention. "If not us two, does that mean you only want one of us?"
Interpreting her words that way was a far, far stretch, but you didn't dislike his idea this time. Seeing him move, you mimicked his action and hugged Hyuna's arm, shoving her right in the middle of your and Luka's senseless dispute. "Yes, Hyuna-nim, which one are you choosing?"
"Me, obviously", Luka snapped, barely giving Hyuna time to think before his free hand latched back onto her side, tickling her without missing a beat. "Right, noona?"
"W-wahahait, I cahAHAhan't!" Hyuna laughed, trying to throw herself back and off your grip, but you two held her arms trapped and her body in place, helplessly stuck between you two. "L-lehehet me gohoho!"
"I will, if you choose me," you grinned, squeezing right below her lowest rib and making her laugh raise a pitch. "You won't leave me, right, Hyuna-nim?"
"Noona!" Luka cried from the other side when Hyuna threatened to turn her face slightly towards your direction. He changed his target to the middle of her stomach, tickling around her navel and making her want to curl into a ball while you tickled her ribs. "Ugh, why don't you leave her alone already?"
"Why don't you leave her alone?" You snapped back at him, tilting your head to the side to properly face your opponent.
"S-STOHohop! Y-yohou two! LehEHEHet me gohoho!" Hyuna laughed, pulling at her trapped limbs while you and Luka tormented her nerves with an overwhelming synchrony.
If she tried to stop you, Luka would tickle her until she was curling into an awkward ball and force her to give him her attention, hoping to fend off his hand. However, if Hyuna turned around to cover and protect her body from him, you'd scratch her back and prod at the spaces between her ribs, forcing her into a renewed laughing fit.
It was a surprise how no one in the restaurant's staff had come to call the three of you out until now. Hyuna actually hoped for that, the whole idea sounding like an easy escape to the dispute over her attention and the imposing question of who was her favorite — but everyone was so drunk and loud at that point that a woman laughing her heart out barely stood out from the rest.
Her laughter mingled and got lost in the chatter and clinging glasses around the table you three shared. It was a merciless, ticklish siege from all sides that rendered her useless, as nothing but a cackling, drunk mess.
"P-PLEHEHEASE!! AHAhaha, dohohon't make me chohoose!" Hyuna whined, having not only her nerves, but her heart tore in two as well. Wherever she looked, she was met with demanding eyes, filled with expectation and seeking for her favoritism.
Her favorite actor in the cast and her most precious staff member, the one she grew really close to and the one that worked with her since the start of her career as an actress — how was she supposed to name it?!
That problem, however, didn't really seem to concern neither you nor Luka. Both of you continued tickling her, holding her arms as hard as you two could while doing it. "Choose me!" You two insisted, almost at the same time. Hyuna felt like she was going to turn into a puddle anytime now.
"S-SohohOHOMEONE, SAHAHAVE ME!" Hyuna cackled, heat gathered around her face and spread down to the top of her chest and the tip of her ears. The idea of dying from laughter was starting to look familiar, as an acceptable fate. Death would be better than making that decision.
"Tsk, you're so stubborn, noona. Makes you look like an idiot," Luka said and you could spot his hand coming to a halt, the rapid touches turning into lazy pokes until they finally stopped.
You looked at Hyuna's unrestrained, tired smile and judged it would be wise to play along. "Are you ok, Hyuna-nim?" You asked, watching her drop herself forward and hit the table head first. If it weren't for her breathless giggles and her body trembling with ticklish after shocks, you'd probably assume she fainted from all the tickling.
"I-I'm fihihine, dahamn it…" She gasped, hesitating a little before reaching for the table and pushing herself up, sitting back like before. "Y-you two can't do that like this, a-at least warn me before!"
"You didn't answer my question, noona," Luka hissed, making Hyuna flinch at his cold, piercing stare. "You need to choose someone. Who is it?"
"Yes, Hyuna-nim," you followed promptly, already smirking as you crept behind her. You placed your hands on both her shoulders, your face close to hers. "Me or him?"
"I— ahm, c-c'mon now, hahah…" Hyuna gulped, her eyes flicking between the two of you. You and Luka leaned a little closer, pressing her even more. "I— oh! Right! W-waitress! Right here, please!" She gasped, waving her hand high above her head and forcing you two to retreat. "L-let's drink some more, ok? We're here to celebrate! W-we can talk about these… things later, yeah?"
