Fandom: One Piece Timeline: Before Shanks meet R/Luffy

(I’m sorry for any grammatical or any other English mistakes, it’s not my first language, and even a bigger apologize that it took one year and almost three months to post/write this. I just didn't had any ideas or motivation to write anything.)

Shanks, being a clingy husband to his wife but Ruby being a busy medic pirate by creating medicine for Shanks’ crew doesn’t have much time for her husband. So the red haired captain comes of the great idea to act like he was very sick and needs the attention from his wife.

When Ruby went on deck on a morning, she noticed that Shanks wasn’t on deck and drinking his morning sake. So she walked to Benn to ask where her husband is.

“Benn, do you know where Shanks is?” She asked with her lovely voice with a taste of wondering where her husband is.

“Are you guys not sleeping in the same bed?” Benn asked out of confusing in return before answering her question. “I don’t know, the last time I saw him was last evening where he complained that you don’t give him enough attention.”

Ruby looked more confused and even blinked a few times. “Was he drunk?” She asked.

The vice captain was thinking for a moment before answering, “A little.”

The pirate princess groaned. “This drunk head… Thanks Benn, I’ll look in his cabin.” The pink-blond haired pirate said as she walked to Shanks cabin. As she walked in the cabin, Ruby saw her husband laying on his bed already acting like he was feverish. She walked over to him and put the back of her hand on his forehead, noticing that he wasn’t even burning up. “Shanks…” The medic called with a stern tone. Shanks opened his eyes slowly trying to make his acting realistic. “Ruby?” The red haired captain asked. “Stop acting, I know that you’re acting to get my attention.” Ruby said as she crossed her arms under her chest. “Are you sure?” He asked with his idiotic smirk.

Ruby rolled her eyes. “Of course, I’m sure.” She hissed and put her hand back on his forehead, only to get her wrist grabbed and getting pulled on the bed, on top of Shanks. “Hey!” Ruby barked as she was straddling his hips. Shanks chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “Now you gonna stay here.” Red hair Shanks announced as he keeps her in place. Ruby frowned before getting on a denial idea. “I think you’re right, you’re sick with attention sickness. And gives only one medicine what can help you with that.” Ruby explained, filling her husband with interest and curiosity. “Oh yeah? And what is the medicine called?” Shanks crossed his hands above his head gives his wife the best opportunity to sneaky wrapping roses, which coming from their bed the wall headboard, around his arms. The roses were little but strong enough to hold his arms in place. “It’s called, tickling!” Ruby announced and starting tickling his ribs, making her husband to giggle in surprise and miserable attempts to free his arms.

“Pff! Ruhuhuhuby! That’s not funny!” Shanks giggled while he fights against the roses. “Not funny? Why are laughing then?” Ruby teased while spidering his ribs up and down, making the red haired to squirm more. “You know why!” Shanks shouted out while giggling. Ruby smirked, letting the roses wrapping around his arms more until they reached his armpits and neck, blooming up and brushing their pedals against his armpits and neck like brushes, making the dangerous captain to arch his back and laughing louder then before. “RUBY!” Shanks laughed, trying to shake his wife off. “No need to yell, I’m right here.” Ruby chuckled rolling up his shirt, scribbling her left hand over his stomach while with her right hand she tickled his belly button. “Laughing is the best medicine, you remember?” Ruby asked, she loved to see one of her two husbands struggling against her. “I hate you!” Shanks yelled while laughing.

Ruby giggled, and letting the roses on his neck grow back. She leaned over to his neck, her hands back spidering his ribs. She takes a deep breath in before blowing raspberries against his neck. Shanks cackled, kicking with his legs, laughing the air out of his lungs. “YOU WOHOHON!! ALRIGHT?” And with that, the torment stopped the roses growing back and disappeared in the wall headboard. The red haired captain finally able to catch his breath. Ruby chuckled laying down beside him. Shanks turned to her and buried his face in her chest. “Enough attention?” She asked while running her fingers through his red hair. Shanks just nodded too exhausted to speak.

The two stayed for the rest of the morning until late noon in their bed cuddling and enjoying each others company.
