Aether hummed, his feet moving to the pace of the city. Friday nights in Mondstadt were especially busy, and even though it was half past 11, various lights and lanterns kept the village lit as people made their way around the place for personal needs and what not. His floating travel companion had tapped out this time, claiming she was too tired to go out on any favours.
The honorary knight walked down the paths near Flora's flower store set up, eventually reaching the lower levels of Mondstadt near the tavern. Glancing at the barrels in front, he quickly decided that going in for a few hello’s wouldn’t be too bad. With a quiet bell chime, the Angels Share noise set into his ears. With tables full and bard playing a lyre at the back. It set a nice ambiance, as he walked up to the ba-
“Traveller! Wha- *hic* Are you doing here?”
recognising the high pitched voice. He turned to meet the eyes of Mondstadt’s famous bard. Venti quickly spinned the chair around and stumbled off. Though, immediately falling into his dear friend wasn't quite what he was trying to do. But it didn't matter, he wrapped his arms around the knight tightly as Aether tried to pull him up to prevent him from falling.
“Ehe~! Aether..*hic* where.. Where have you beenn~? I haven- *hic* seen you in Mon- Monstadt for like.. ever. ehe..” he slightly rambled, huffing as the traveller finally stabilised his stance. “Venti.. who let you get this drunk?”
“I’m not drrun- drunk! jus- *hic* just happyyy~ ehehe.. Aether i'm all spinny.. you- can you pass my me-.. wait.. me my drink? yeah..” He giggled out, whining as aether threw their hand over his shoulder and led his arm around to their’s. “Come on, let's get you home okay?”
Venti gasped loudly, though not to be looked at twice with all the commotion in the tavern. “Whaaat? no!- nonono.. I still.. need to drink the rest..! Ae- tther.. pleasee? ill tell you a secret if you do!” he insisted, leaning over to the others ear and cupping his hands around his mouth as he spoke-
“I’m.. actually Barbatos. shhh.. you can't tell aannybody okay? its a secre- a secret.” He took his hands away and looked into his eyes waiting for a reaction. Aether couldn’t help but laugh a bit, faking a surprised expression. “Wow, really?” he gasped, his voice dripping in sarcasm. He reached into his back pocket and slipped a couple mora bills under the half filled glass. But knowing Venti, that wouldn’t be nearly enough to cover his tab. Poor master Diluc...
“ye- *hic* yeah! I'm like.. alot old. what's the word.. chemistry?” he mumbled, in deep thought. Which is probably why he didn't notice when Aether slowly led him out the tavern and got his own teapot out, because archons know where Venti spends his nights.
“Cen.. centuries! Yeah.. yeah that- that's the word. it means like.. centurie- oh! that was fast.. you're a fast walker..” he slurred his words, leaning his head on Aether’s shoulder.. “I’ll take you to bed, come on.” he insisted softly, leading him up the stairs and into his bedroom. Within seconds of noticing the bed, he tilted his head up all the way and reached out to it only for his arm to slump back down lazily.
Aether complied, sitting him up on the bed and reaching over to the side table to get a bottle of water. “..you- you're not gonna make me drink that. right?”
….
“..right?”
with a loud groan Venti flopped onto his back and turned away. “Nooo- sont- dont make *hic* -make me..”
“Come on, if you don’t drink this now you're gonna feel especially sick in the morning. Trust me, it's not fun..” he shuttered slightly, remembering the feeling of a particularly bad hangover.
“I don’t care! you- you're bad! you're a bad bad man Aether- you're the worst! i'm not- *hic!* touching your weird, clear, tasteless drink!!”
Aether sighed, setting the bottle back. “..You're drinking it, whether you like it or not. And if it means I have to take some drastic measures, so be it." He said, a serious facade on his face.
The drunkard bard seemingly taking it seriously had wide eyes and a small smile as he spoke;“Huh?! dr- *hic!* drastic! what are you gon- AH! Aethther! dohont- dohohnt yohou dahahare!”
In a swift motion, Aether hand gently moved his hands to scribble across Venti’s upper ribs, giggling softly along with him.
“Oh, I do dare. You know how to make it stop Venti~” The traveller smiled softly, his hands skilfully scratching in between the little bones all the way down to his waist. Venti dug his head into the mattress, kicking his feet out behind him as he squirmed. “ahahE!- noho! Ihi dohon’t wahahant to! goHo awahay!” His hands pressed into the mattress with all the strength he could muster up while like this (Which in all honesty wasnt alot, especially for an archon..) , his wide smile on display.
“Awh, Venti.. Has anyone ever told you that you have a very pretty smile?” He said softly, his fingers massaging into the other’s waist over the lazily tied corset. Venti let out a loud hiccup in between his giggling, shaking his head left to right. “eheno! stohhop teheasing meheee!”
Aether chuckled with a gentle tone in his voice, blunt nails dragging down to where his hips met his thighs, digging in between. “Oh, but I would never tease you, wouldn't even dream of it, Venti.”
Okay, now he was definitely teasing..
Venti’s legs continued kicking, his hands shot up at Aether’s shoulders with a tight grip. “What, you don't like it here? Right here?” The blonde spoke, scribbling his fingers along his lower hips.
“Aehetherrrr~! ihi am- I aham a archon!”
“Yeah, a very giggly one in your case.”
“Aham nohot!” He argued back even through the said giggles, denying any sort of claims. “A drunk one?” Aether counter-offered, his hands travelling down to squish at the sides of his thighs.
“Nohot druhunk! juhust hahappy! I alreheady said that, I thi- wahait wait!” He repeated his phrase from earlier before jolting, his knees trying to curl up to his chest. “What, hm? You're gonna drink some water now?” He asked, fingertips momentarily stilling but continuing to rest on the spot.
“Waihit- juhust wahait..” He insisted, letting out soft breathy giggles as he caught his breath. “Thahats- thats not fair.”
“Ihits not fair?” The traveller repeated, a slight laugh of his own leaving his lips. “And why is that?”
“Because- behecause I have my things on! And thats- its soho bad, so you can’t.” He explained drunkenly, a hand pulling at his own tights to give further example.
“Oh I can’t?” He pressed his finger pads into the small diamonds on the patterned tights, enlightening a giggly gasp from the other. “Are you sure I can’t?”
“..No.” Venti mumbled, a soft squeal escaping his throat when he felt the hands suddenly attach themselves onto his knees and squeeze.
“You're so stubborn, just give upp~ I need to get you to bed, yknow.” Aether shrugged, talking like he was completely oblivious to what he was doing.
Venti didn’t reply, maybe a few babbles about how ‘he wasn’t a baby’, which the blonde simply countered with the reminder that he had his head thrown back because he was just that childishly ticklish. He honestly had never seen him shut up so quickly.. he's definitely gonna use this for blackmail.
“Okahay okay!” He exclaimed dramatically inbetween his squeals, “Stohop, ihim gohonna die!”
“Dramatic, but okay.” He chuckled, rubbing the left over tingles away. “You're done with your little tantrum? You’ll drink it?”
can you do a scaraether fic? like one where aether makes him admit he likes being tickled
so this was................ sent after i said requests were closed. but the funny thing is ive just gotten fucking covid and lee scaramouche is all i need in life rn so i was like fuck it we ball. anyways this was.... an experience to write.like it was fun but generally also really like..... idk.............. maybe that was because i didnt really have motivation but here it is anyway
admit it
pairing : scaraether ( read it as romantic or platonic i do not care )
word count : 1.4k
Scaramouche can not catch a damn break around here.
Since that idiot traveler found out about his only existing weakness, he just won’t quit it with his stupid antics. It’s like he just has an irresistible urge to almost kill Scaramouche every time he sees him.
And that makes purely existing quite hard, because he sees him every single day! There is no escape. There’s absolutely nothing he can do about this to make it stop.
( He could just stop seeing the traveler every day, but he refuses to even acknowledge that as a possibility. )
It’s unbearable, it’s absolutely awful, he’s never hated anything more and before this he hasn’t gotten the chance to be touched like this, so affectionately playful, in so long and he can’t bring himself to seriously tell Aether to stop. He really can’t stand being reduced to such a humiliating version of himself that by all means he wanted hidden, truly, he can’t.
And that’s what he’s desperately trying to communicate to Aether right now.
“Oh, shove it with your excuses, I know you like this.” Aether trails spidering hands up the sides of his unwilling victim. His grin looks like it might split his face in half and Scaramouche hates the fact that he’s enjoying his suffering.
His hands are gripping Aether’s as hard as he can, pushing and pulling and trying anything to get him to stop just for a second so he can breathe, but those tickling fingers are determined in their quest to make Scara pass out.
“You- You don’t know anythihihing! GAH, STOP! Fuhuhuuck-!!” Scara twists and turns, bucking his hips and smacking and pushing at Aether’s shoulders. For one blissful moment, it stops.
Panting, Scara wraps his arms around his torso and tries to kick Aether off of his thighs with the remaining strength he has, but even at his full energy that’s nothing compared to Aether. Which is to say– He fails. Despite his continued struggling, Aether doesn’t move and just starts running his mouth again.
“Say it.” That grin of his almost looks sadistic. He wiggles his awful fingers above Scara’s stomach, where his shirt has long since rode up far past where it originally sat fully protecting his sensitive skin. Now, though, he trembles and grabs both Aether’s hands on instinct. The blonde gives him a stupidly charming grin, but it’s still terrifying, the way Aether doesn’t even attempt to move his hands out of Scara’s grip, like he knows Scara knows that Aether will stop when he feels like it.
And Scara does know that. He flushes deeper, and trembles more. “Piss off! I don’t like this. I don’t like you! In fact, it’d be absolutely wonderful if you could get off- Nononostop!!” Aether drops his hands back down to Scara’s stomach, kneading at the soft, ticklish skin there and Scara howls, squealing with high pitched laughter. Trying to fight Aether off hasn’t done him any good up to this point so he slaps his hands over his mouth, trying to stifle the embarrassing, delighted squeaking and cackling. “Mmmhmph-!! Nnnh..!”
To be completely truthful, Scara does like this. In fact, he’s not sure if he’s ever adored a physical feeling more. Aether’s hands are warm and the way he laughs with Scara feels less as if he’s making fun of him and more like he’s just enjoying making Scara laugh and that knowledge gives him fluttery feelings that he refuses to think about. Even so, that flustered, giddy feeling is just as delightful as the rest. The only part of this he can say he hates is that Aether’s trying to make him admit it, and even then- That’s merely because the prospect of admitting something like that is embarrassing.
“I hate you, I hahahate you so muhuhuhuch! No, nononohoho!! Not, not that-! Aether!” Scara pushes at Aether’s shoulders and bucks as much as Aether’s position will allow him, but none of that stops the traveler from digging his fingers into his hips, massaging in circles. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, or both with either hands. He keeps the pattern completely unpredictable and combined with what he knows is Scara’s worst spot, he’s really trying to completely murder him. At last, he’s going to get rid of Scara forever and it’s going to be by way of tickling.
“Yeah, yeah. I’m sure you do, and that’s why you’ve never stopped me once.” Aether’s sarcastic tone paired with his completely false and not at all correct accusations make Scara gasp with offense and not because he’s being mercilessly tickled within an inch of his life. “That’s also why you’re not admitting you like this, right? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you won’t do it so I’ll tickle you more!” Aether says, pressing all ten fingers into Scara’s hips and just above them, targeting both his sides and his hips while he evilly vibrates his fingers into the skin. The feeling makes Scara jolt and cry out with hiccuping, gasping laughter, squeezing his eyes shut and really pushing at Aether’s hands this time.
“Aether-! I cahahan’t, I, I, Ple-” Scara cuts his own pleading off, still too embarrassed to let go of his pride just like that. He won’t plead. …Not again, anyway.
“What, you can’t take a little tickling, Scara? Weren’t you all high-and-mighty just a second ago? I’m sure you can handle it, right?” The teasing only makes Scara’s desperate squirming increase, and he just starts babbling incoherent half-sentences, possibly along the lines of ‘I hate you,’ and multiple repetitions of him just yelling protests that aren’t really words.
Aether isn’t that sadistic, and moves his hands to lightly scritch in the middle of Scara’s stomach with a measly two fingers, giving him room to breathe while still tickling. He’s such a generous tormentor.
Well, is it really tormenting if the victim likes it?
Still giggling, Scara purses his lips into a tight line, muffling it just a bit. His grip on Aether’s hands goes slack and his purple eyes shine with unshed tears when he opens them to glare at Aether. “A-Ahahare you done?” He asks, gasping in between his words.
Aether, still moving his two fingers in tandem on Scara’s poor, twitching skin, doesn’t drop his smirk. “I’ll be done when you admit you like this.” His head tilts with an innocent smile present on his face all of a sudden, as if he’s not doing anything wrong at all.
Scara doesn’t speak. For once, he just doesn’t have any sort of insult or comeback to spew at Aether for daring to do such a childish, stupid thing to him.
Aether’s evil smirk returns and he raises his hands again, only to lower them back down to idle at Scara’s sides. “Are you completely sure about this decision, Scara?”
He’s still met with nothing but silence.
Well, it’s not Aether’s funeral. He squeezes at Scara’s sides, laughing along with him when Scara jumps and squeals, those unshed tears starting to fall. Scara’s squealing, shrieking laughter goes silent and his squirming just increases tenfold, flailing and kicking and bucking- Anything to make it stop, but he still refuses to just say what they both already know is true.
( Aether was right before, of course. He wasn’t ready for it to stop, not yet. Now, though…)
Limits reached, Scara finally uses what he’d been acknowledging as a last resort and only that. “Okay! Okahahay, I’ll- Mmph! EEK-!! Stohohop, I’ll sahahay it!! P-Please!!”
Lifting his hands, Aether climbs off of Scara and folds his hands on his lap, just the picture of innocent patience.
Taking a second to breathe, Scara puts his hands to his face and mumbles something mostly incoherent.
Aether’s smirk only widens, an evil shine in his eyes. “What was that?”
“I said I like it, okay?! I like- I-I like when- Urrghh…” Scara rolls onto his side, scowling at the ground beneath him. It’s like the word itself is poisonous to him- Like he’ll just roll over and die if he says it.
“Come on, Scara, I believe in you!”
“Oh, shut up! Just… Give me a second, okay?!”
Aether waits patiently while Scara squirms and bites at his lip. “I, I like… Being…T-Tickled…”
Aether scoops Scara up into his arms, cooing and smiling at the boy now in his lap. “Awh, Scara! That was the cutest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say, ever! How can you be so precious, huh?”
Completely flushed and embarrassed out of his mind, Scaramouche pushes at Aether’s face and kicks, trying to get out of his grasp. “Ugh! Let me go, you vile creature! Augh, Stop!”
…Though, he supposes the affection isn’t too bad either.
The poor Aether is in big, big trouble. Since Kaeya has discovered his ticklishness, he won't leave him alone for a second! Just when he thinks he's never gonna survive the situation, an unexpected ally makes his entrance, offering him the perfect solution
NOTE: Omg this is my first ask ahskosnsksj!!! I'm actually all around the place right now, but don't worry anon, I've triple-checked it to make sure there weren't any awful mistakes🌸 Also sorry if it took me long but I needed to do some research about Childe because I haven't met him in the game. Monday
“Hey Aether, could you do me a favor?” Kaeya asked. “Oh, sorry but I’m a bit busy right now” Aether answered. “Are you really, absolutely sure you don’t have even a little time for me?” retried the knight, wiggling his fingers this time.
“Welp! Ah- umm... o-okay what do you need?” the blonde caved in with a blushing face.
Tuesday
Aether was chilling on the edge of Starsnatch Cliff. A light breeze through his hair. Perfectly quiet and peacef-
“WAAAAHHH hahahahhahahahahaha whoho’s that?!” half-exclaimed the traveler giggling when he felt his sides and tummy poked from behind.
“Hahahaha you should really be more careful, going around leaving your weak spots so open...”
“Ka-kaeya?! Why...?”
“Because when I see a chance, I take it, whether it’s about battle or teasing a certain ticklish one”
Wednesday
“Oi traveler, could you pick me a book on top of that shelf? The title is-” “NO! YOU’RE TALLER THAN ME, WHY SHOULD I?” the yellow-eyed guy sounded really distressed.
“Is there some other reason why you don’t want to help me?” inquired Kaeya knowingly. “I-i-i don’t wanna... j-just because” stuttered Aether.
“Ooooohhh, I see. you don’t want to put your arms up because you’re scared I’ll tickle you... well, that’s too bad, because I’m gonna punish you for not helping me! Come here!” the knight never sounded so ominous.
This went on the whole week. It’s not that Aether actually disliked being tickled, but the constant teasing and this whole ‘never feeling safe’ thing made him a bundle of nerves!
This is why he decided to avoid Kaeya like the plague. He was going around Mondstadt, when he felt a presence behind him. Seeing no one behind him, he didn’t think much of it, but when the sensation didn’t go away he began to feel really tense.
‘Okay... calm down. I just need to leave quickly. All I gotta do is...’
“FOUND YOU!”
“WAAAAAAHH NOHOHOHO WAIT KA- oh, it’s you Childe.
“That’s a nice way to greet a friend, rather... unique. Am I that scary?” asked jokingly the Fatui harbinger. “No, not at all! I mean... you’re very strong, so that makes you a bit scary, but still...! I just thought you were someone else.” replied Aether honestly. “Who on Earth is making you that scared? Is someone threatening you? Are they strong? Just give me the name an-” “Oh Anemo, no! Well, the thing is...”
“Ah, that makes sense. Kaeya found out that you’re the most ticklish person alive and you’re never safe now.” said Childe after the shorter guy, who for the record was so red that he seemed about to explode, finished telling him what had been happening for the whole week.
“But why don’t you do something about him?” asked the orange-haired boy. “Like what?” Aether was half-confused and half-interested. “Give him a taste of his own medicine” grinned Childe. “I can’t! He’s much stronger than me... and if he isn’t tic- umm... sensitive, I’m more than dead.” the poor guy felt hopeless.
On the other hand, his friend was already motivated to help him, but when he heard the word ‘stronger’, he went on full-combat mode. “Okay, it seems quite the tough challenge, but I’ll help you! Here’s the plan...”
(timeskip)
“Hi Kaeya, do you want to spar?” “Hello to you too, Aether. Do I want to what?” “You know, I think I could use some training without weapons or elemental powers, just to be prepared if some enemy has an artifact able to annihilate those things” answered the blonde. “That’s actually a good idea. Meet me in half an hour in the courtyard.” Kaeya was actually happy to help his friend, but maybe he also saw a certain opportunity
After meeting in the established place, the two of them didn’t waste any time. They immediately got into their fighting stance and began training.
The fight didn’t last long, but it wasn’t too short either. However, the thing that didn’t change was Aether being pinned down on the ground, at the mercy of a certain knight who appeared too happy about it.
“Do you surrender now?” asked the grey-eyed guy. “No, I still have an ace up my sleeve... NOW!” Kaeya couldn’t register what was going on, when he was lifted up and tackled on the ground with his arms above his head. Struggling was useless.
“What...? Childe?! What do you think you’re doing? Let me go now!” barked the knight. “Yeah... not gonna happen. You see, someone told me you wouldn’t leave them alone after some kind of discovery. Now I’m helping them with their own discovery, and if they get a positive result... some revenge, too.” the blue-eyed’s words sounded both teasing and scary at the same time.
Kaeya noticed Aether approaching him and started struggling again, obtaining no different outcome. The traveler started fluttering his fingers over his neck and ears, and it surprisingly took all Kaeya’s might to not scrunch his shoulders and become a puddle of giggles. That teasing, delicate touch was like hell!
“I think our opponent is too mighty for such a sweet approach to break him. We should change our tactics.” declared Childe, who then proceeded to pin the knight’ hands with his knees, lift up his shirt and go straight for the kill, squeezing mercilessly his sides.
“Hahahahahahahahahaha whahait nahahahahahhahahaha” the now-victim couldn’t fight the urge to laugh this time. “We got him! Now it’s your time to shine, don’t you want to tease him? Go on!”
Aether was getting flustered at the mere thought of teasing someone, but he also recognized the once-in a lifetime chance he had, so he put himself together and began scribbling all over Kaeya’s tummy. “Coochie coochie coo... oh Anemo! I’m not the only ticklish one here!” teased the blonde, blushing a bit. The mighty knight, on the other hand was already beet red.
‘They’re so cute! I must have been a saint for deserving such a good thing...’ was the only thing going on Childe’s mind. Well... maybe not the only one...
“Oi, shall we count his ribs? You take this side and I’ll take the other.” “Nohohohohoho bahahahahahad idea! Dohohohohohon’t” “Don’t whaaat?” the one who asked that was surprisingly Aether. “Cohount the rihihihihibs hahahah- no! Wahahahahaahahahhahahihihit” the taller one never felt an urge to kick himself like that before. How could someone fall for such a foolish trap?
“Wow! You’re getting the hang of it. I don’t think I’d ever like to be in this guy’s position... but still! Let’s begin. And if you lose count, tell me. We’ll start over together, did you hear that, giggles? You better stay still, or else” the orange-haired one was actually merciless.
“One... two... three...” they began slowly counting, making sure to poke and accurately pinch every bone and thoroughly dig into every single space in the most ticklish way. “Hahahahahahahhahahahahhaha yohohohouhuhu ahahahahahreheheh meehehehehehahahahahn” said the knight, whose laughter went up an octave.
‘I’ll show you mean...’ thought Aether. And he could afford it, right? After that ‘awful’ week this was the bare minimum. So, he decided to be really mean and, when they were both at the 10th rib, he dared to say “Childeee, I lost count”
“Lihihiihihihhiiahahahahahr hahahahahahahaha nahahahahhaha” Kaeya knew this wasn’t true, but he couldn’t really do anything at the moment. In fact, the blue-eyed one provided to remind him of that detail “Shush! If he says so, it must be true. It’s not like he’s seeking revenge or anything, he has no reason to lie.” And with that, the knight’s torment began all over again. And what’s more, they even made him count!
“... tweheheheheehhenty fohohohohouhur stahahahahahp” the blue-haired guy was pleading. “Oi traveler, stop for a second, I want to try something”. When Aether obliged, Childe started scribbling all over Kaeya’s triceps, eliciting the cutest giggles from him.
“Hehehehehehehehe nahahahahah” oviously Kaeya’s requests fell upon deaf ears and Childe told the blonde to get his hips. Luckily, they weren’t that ticklish, so his laughter didn’t change much. “Hehehehehheheh cohohohomehhe ohohon yohoho’ve had yohour fuhuhu- nahahahaha nohohot thehehehre” the poor boy was interrupted when he felt his thighs and knees scribbled, scratched, poked and squeezed. Aether was really cruel, alternating between two spot and many different techniques. Everything while the orange-haired one was still walking a path down his arms, never reaching the armpits but getting closer every time, and giving his neck and ears a quick scribble every once in a while.
But when the squirming increased all of a sudden, the two of them knew that they had definitely won. Aether was unlacing Kaeya’s shoes, and the look he saw on his face was priceless. Absolutely terrified, but... kind of eager, maybe?
Still, there was no time to waste. The blonde began wiggling his fingers right where he knew his ‘ex-torturer’ could see them, and then proceeded lowering them more and more... and more... and more...
until they found a pair of squirming soles all ready to be tickled.
“HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH CHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHNGEHEHEHEHEH SPOHOHOHOHOHOT” if he hadn’t been already lying down, the blue-haired guy would have been on his knees right now, also because the other teasing devil started tickling his underarms, another really bad spot.
“NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHIS TOHOHOHOOHOHORTUHUHUREHEHEHEH AHAHAHAHAHAHA” the knight was rapidly crumbling, tears forming on the corner of his eyes. “Tickle tickle... this is what you deserve for teasing a cutie like him that much” replied Childe.
When they both thought this couldn’t get any better, the yellow-eyed boy had the brilliant idea of going for the cute little toes currently at his mercy. Kaeya’s laughter went up an octave... or six.
“NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *hiccup* HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH *hic* IHIHIHIHIHI CAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAN’T *hic*” “You can and you will... coochie coochie coo... hehehe” answered Aether, surprisingly bold and cheeky (still cute though), now that he was on the other side.
“What, kinght? Can’t take what you dish out?” provoked Childe, switching from scribbling to digging into the underarms with a purpose.
“HAHAHAHAAH IHIHIHI GIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIVEHEHEHEHEHEHE STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHP” Kaeya couldn’t really handle it anymore.
His friends immediately stopped and got actually a bit worried since they had never seen the proud knight give up. “U-ummm... did we g-go too far?” the old Aether was officially back. “Nah, not really, you stopped at the right time.” Even Kaeya himself found it a little bit fair that the traveler could get his revenge (only a little bit). Did he have to be so mean, though?
“Aaawww... come here you” exclaimed Childe wrapping him up in a big hug, that Aether immediately joined, both of them knowing it would make the knight even more flustered.
After a while, the evil tickle team got up and Childe said “Shall we go say ‘hi’ to Diluc and get something to drink? Who arrives last to the tavern is buying!”
Hearing that, Aether followed the orange-haired one’s example and sprinted off, leaving Kaeya, who was still putting on his shoes, behind. In the end, they arrived at the same time more or less, so Childe decided to pay for his friends, too.
“I’ll get you both back for this, by the way” declared the grey-eyed guy. “And we’ll get you back ten times worse, I’d be careful if I were you” replied Childe with a wink, making Kaeya and Aether blush.
When the Fatui harbinger got up to pay, the knight whispered into the traveler’s ear “I’ll spare you if you help me get him.”
Aether knew it was a lie, but he didn’t mind this kind of game they got into.
One thing was certain, though. The. Game. Was. On.
Imagine if I drew two drawings in one day, haha ( ´ ▽ ` )
*ahem* (*⁰▿⁰*)
More Lee Scara because he has my full attention at the moment,, he’s just such a brat, and Aether needs to teach him manners somehow. And it seems to be working,, •^•
Thanks for all the reshares and nice tags, these past days have been so fun^^

ler!aether
Xiao materialises silently on the balcony behind him, arms crossed. “Hmph, it’s you,” He murmurs, his voice barely audible.
“It is,” Aether said, waving him over as he leaned against the rails. Xiao complied, moving himself to stand next to the traveller. “So, is Liyue big on new years? It seems like it..”
Xiao’s gaze shifts to the bustling streets below, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Yes, Liyue is known for its grand celebrations during the lantern rite. Mortals gather to welcome the new year, hoping for good fortune and prosperity.” He turns his attention back to the figure beside him, his expression softening ever so slightly. “Is there a reason you ask..?”
“Not necessarily.. I was more asking if you were big on it.” Aether admitted, smiling softly at the city.
Xiao's eyes flicker with a hint of surprise, as if caught off guard by his question. "I... I suppose I don’t partake in such festivities," he admits, his voice tinged with a touch of melancholy. "As an adeptus, I have always maintained a certain distance from mortal affairs. My duty lies in protecting Liyue and its people, but I have never been one to revel in celebrations or seek personal enjoyment. It’s not in my nature."
He pauses for a moment, then adds, "However, I am willing to make an exception, if it is your wish to experience these festivities together."
Aether chuckled at the offer, shaking his head. "You don’t have to do that, Xiao, I know you’d rather not. But if you want.. we can stay up here for a bit?” He asked, tilting his head. “Please?”
Xiao's gaze shifts back to the lively streets below, watching as the crowds grow larger and the excitement mounts. "I appreciate your consideration.”
He turns his attention back to the blonde, his eyes meeting his. "If you wish to join me in this seclusion, I would be honoured to spend this time with you." He gestures to the balcony, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
He smiled widely, “Thank you~..” He lowered himself to the ground, his legs criss-crossed around each other.
Xiao follows Aether’s lead, lowering himself to the ground beside him and crossing his legs in a similar fashion. He glances at him, his smile a rare sight. “I hear your back from your travels in Fountaine, correct?”
“Yeah, it was.. well, Fountaine.” He laughed softly, his eyes trailing down his arm before he noticed something. “The ocean was amazing though, they-.. Hm.”
“..What is it?” The adeptus asked, a confused expression on his face as Aether’s fingers reached out to his skin. With anybody else he’d flinch away, but he's learnt to accept the travellers touch. “You're bruised.”
“I.. suppose I am,” He stated, seemingly not paying much mind to it. “Mere consequence of my battles.. You shouldn’t worry, There's probably many more to come. But.. they will heal due to time.”
“I know, it doesn't mean I like it.” He muttered, huffing quietly. “Yknow, if you ever need me to patch you up all you need to do is ask.”
“No need,” Xiao insisted, “But.. If it comes to it, I’ll remember that.”
“I’m glad.” Aether smiled, satisfied with the answer he received. His fingers dragged down the skin until he reached the end, his hand moving to rest on top of the other’s. -which of course would’ve been fine, but..
His fingertips trailing down his forearm made Xiao gasp, reflexively flinching back a bit. “A-Ah.. apologies, Aether. You just..”
“It's okay,” He replied, softly cutting the other off from speaking any more excuses. “My fault.”
The two sat like that for a few minutes in silence, simply enjoying each other's company. Well, it was simple until the blonde’s hand began to shift, nails drifting across his wrist an-
“Aether,” he spoke in a faked stern tone, turning to look at him.
“Uhuh,” He replied calmly, his nails grazing the same sensitive spot. “I'm just making sure you're not hiding any more injuries from me. What if you're in a critical condition and I didnt even know, hm?”
“Ihim- i’m not..?” a soft yelp left his lips, dare he even say– a giggle? “You’d know..”
“How am I supposed to believe that though? You're a very secretive person, Xiao. Now, I insist, stay still.” Aether smiled smugly, speaking whatever excuses came into his head first as he sneaked a hand to the adepti’s torso and latched onto his side.
“A-Ah! Aetheher..” He let out a shaky breath, restraining himself. “Don't just-..”
“Don't just what?” Aether tilted his head with a fake confused expression, his hand perfectly still.
“I.. ugh, your childish, Traveler.” Xiao sighed, turning his head away. Aether simply laughed softly, letting his fingers wiggle gently up his ribs. “I’m funny, excuse you.” He huffed, “I'm sure you’ll find me funny in a few minutes too.”
“I will no-hot!” He gasped, desperately trying to keep a straight face. He debated hiding with his mask on, but knowing Aether he’d probably give him hell for it..
“You’re no fun.. Come on, you're supposed to be laughing.” He whined, a playful smile shining on his lips.
“I don’t laugh.” He states, biting the inside of his cheek to keep his composure. “I’m an adeptus, it's un- hah.. unprofessional..”
“Sure you can, giggles. I’ll even help you!” Aether teased, gently pressing his thumbs into the bone.
“Don’t cahall me thahat!" He tried to grumble the best that he could, but he couldn't refrain from the small giggles that started bubbling from his chest.
“What, giggles? But it's cute! And you are giggling, y’know.” He pointed out, his hand darting to the others mid section and rubbing circles into his hip bones.
Finally, the dam broke with a gasp and breathy giggles, the shorter ducking his head down. “Thahats- nohot the pohohint..”
Aether cooed at the sight, shifting his position a little to be able to reach over and use both his hands. “Awh, Xiao~ I can think of a different point. Maybe about how you aren’t pushing me away?”
“I.. do nohot wihish to huhurt yohou.” Xiao mumbled out, his hands squeezed in fists to restrain himself. “Hm.. Excuses, excuses~” He sighed dramatically, giving his torso a couple last squeezes. “Alright, alright.. I’m done, sorry.”
As he regained his composure, he sighed softly, arms crossing over his chest idly. “It's.. fine. I suppose.”
“I bet.” Aether replied in a monotone voice, a knowing expression on his face. “No more tricks, ‘kay?” He promised, slinging an arm around his shoulders as a truce.
