I hope the Democrats learn nothing

What's the right lesson to learn from 2024? That people *really* fucking hate inflation. Don't be like Biden, be like Obama.

And that's the worst lesson they could learn.

Not for me, I'll be fine. Empirically, extended low-interest-rate stagnation is great for software engineers. Which I am. Now.

I wasn't fine in 2010. The great recession almost ruined my life. Not on its own, it had help from my parents, the American higher education system, my own bad decisions, and some purely personal bad luck. But still. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Not even the fucking morons who *just voted for it*.

So I hope, when the next recession threatens, that whoever's in charge then forgets the lessons of 2024, and picks a big inflationary stimulus over an insufficient one. Even if it loses them the next election.

The last two days I've been so productive, even thought I binged a bunch of TV.

I donated plasma

Filed my taxes

Started 2 job applications

Cleaned my rabbit cage

Cleaned my entire office

Gave George a bath

Took George for a long walk

Got my calendar, to-do list, and wish list organized

Started an art project I've been trying to get going since November

Wrote a schedule for tomorrow (like it's finals week)

I can't believe I got all this finished. Not everything is done, but I'm feeling super accomplished, and I really hope I can ride this wave through another week and actually, you know, get a job where I don't have to wake up at 2:30 4/5 days.

My mother has been housesitting for a friend since Saturday, and dear god, I needed the alone time. She gets home on Sunday, and leaves next Saturday with George to go camping for spring break.

I get alone time during the day when she's at work, and when I housesit for my Auntie, but an entire week at home by myself has done wonders.

I HAVE A FOLLOW UP QUESTION

Say I have female bits, and I'm cool with that because while 95% of the time I'm totally feelin dudeish (I wanna w at my hat and shortnspiky hair and jeans and baggy shirts (and sort of wishing I had a smaller chest)) there's still that 5% of the time where I'm kinda feeling the female side. I feel softer and just genuinely more girly.

And yet when I'm feeling Broish I am totally diggin on girls (some guys (like uber hot ones), and still lovin on both my life loves) but that girly time I am definitely feelin it for the bros (and my two life loves).

What is this?
