His questions always leave her to think, especially when it comes to stuff like this. Because she can't give him a concrete answer, he knows that, but she likes to think that he appreciates her hearing answers based from her perspective rather than facts sometimes.

" It's because sometimes the world is so big, you just can't quite find your place. It's a huge puzzle in which it can take forever to truly find a place you can fit or even someone you can comfortably fit next to. And that's because the world is so diverse and full of different lives, we're all our own separate puzzle pieces so not everyone can work well together. ...Sometimes, it's for the better you don't fit into the world."

It's not spoken, but she's saying that it's okay that he may not fit into the world or feel like he fits in. Afterall, look at her, someone who can click with almost everyone in a puzzle and fit next to them but, it didn't feel like the perfect fit. No, that was him. Akira is her perfect fit whether he knew it or not. He balanced her in some ways.

" I personally find it more important to fit with the people closest to you. And that's exactly what you do, you may not fit in with the world but, you fit in just fine with me. Wouldn't you agree dear? "

Love is complicated and different for the two of them, but they still worked, and that's all she could ever ask for.

Of course she especially want to see what goes on in the detective's head, who wouldn't? He's just so fascinating and unique, she can't help but love it about him. He can match her and meet her expectations, he can try and understand her and see underneath it all.

Ah, there's her pet name, and there's the reaction she wanted. Hell, she'd been EXPECTING the reaction from him. Additionally, the idea that she wouldn't be just fine by being chased by his oh so lovely fanbase makes her amused, for she has to wonder how far can she push being publicly affectionate with him before the fans crack.

" I mean, I would but I wouldn't want to scandalize your image with my oh so nefarious criminal record that they'd hear about from my peers. A detective dating a delinquent who's on probation for a crime, I can almost hear the heartbreak in your fanbase's hearts ~. "

She's joking, only to some degree. Because in reality, it probably would freak out his fanbase or at least some that he was dating someone with a criminal record. And she'd preferably actually like privacy in her life without his fanbase trying to pry into her. God knows how it'd end up looking on Kasumi too. But she will admit, she does wish to be more loving to him in public, but she knows it's not possible due to his fame as the oh so charming and handsome detective.

But there's more too him than that, and she wants to see every part of him whether it's ugly to most or not.

Sumire knows what's coming when he leans in, she knows better, but this is all apart of the fun. But oh how she wants to just grab him by the coat and kiss him then and there within their proximity, but alas he does what she knew he would. But this time, she follows after him.

" Aw come on, pleaaase? I was doing so good with my act, no one else would know that it was an act besides you. Additionally, you're the genius detective here, how am I supposed to fool you MY DEAR ? "

Pink is dusted all across her face but she still remains smiling at his words, god how did she get so lucky to find a guy like him?

She kisses both of his cheeks before leaning up and leaving a peck on his lips with such a FOND and LOVING look upon her expression. Oh how she adored him so.

She walks over to Akira calmly, as she normally would, and then she proceeds to cup his face and tilt it down before planting a affectionate kiss on his lips.

Now she's pulling him in for a tight embrace as she begins to pepper his whole face in kisses, she's so proud of him for building up courage like that! Now he's going to be peppered with kisses for the rest of the day if she can help it. There is no escaping this one anytime soon!

Is she pouting when he leaves? Maybe. She wants to give him a kiss too, it's not fair that only he got to kiss her! Oh, she's so going to get even with him later somehow. As to how specifically though? She'll figure it out eventually, she always does afterall,

It's all almost too fast as her cheeks flush red from Akira's gestures, oh dear lord what in the HELL has she gotten herself into? It's only when he PROPOSES of all things while holding her hand that makes her promptly snap out of the daze she's in and bonk him on top of his head, as if to knock some sense into him.

" Akira, first off, what were you thinking I, urgh. I mean, it wasn't horrible you kissing me I and holding my hand isn't the WORST but I must ask, WHY ARE YOU PROPOSING TO ME?! "

She sighs while pinching the bridge of her nose, she's not upset obviously, she's just bewildered by his behavior honestly. ...Her father's pointed it out to her that she talks about Akira differently than most other people she does but she shuts it down.

For she knows all too well she loves him, she's just... not ready to say it yet.

That's right, as he should. He should stay away from her, because who is she to taint someone with such a kind soul?

If she keeps this up, she's sure she can get him far enough away and out of her life to where she's not a concern. He irritates her, for why does she feel her chest tighten when she sees him and his shy attitude? Why does she for a moment wish she was normal and could become close to him without him knowing that she's killed people.

( Maybe she's scared of people leaving her for finding out her true colors more than she thought. )

Whatever, it's probably not too important if she can't figure it out. It's just going to keep irritating her if she thinks about it.

She is going to implode on herself oh god, why does he have to be so cute?? She can't stop smiling at his flirting at all as pink lightly coats her cheeks from his words. She has to do something back, anything, god Sumire stop panicking in your head so much.
