Today focuses on something that is very important to me. If you are HIV positive or have a loved one that is HIV positive, you know how this effects you/them. You know the stigma. Do not become one of the stats, do not let your loved ones become one of the stats. Talk about it, educate others about it. They are getting closer and closer to a cure for AIDS, but you have the ability to stop HIV before you even get to that place. Get tested. Talk to your partners. Use protection. #letsendit

As we celebrate World Aids Day, and the efforts made thus far in combating the spread of HIV Aids as well as remembering the lives lost to HIV Aids we still continue to coundown 16 Days of activism, acknowledging how in SA 37% of the new infections in 2016 were made up of women and girls between the ages of 15 - 24. This is attributed to various things, whereby GBV is said to account for 20% - 25% of new infections in women.
