Eating disorder week is just around the corner .. but in all honesty it should be talked about more often. Ok, can someone please explain

Why TF pad and tampon companies think it's such a brilliant idea to have women laying in flower petals and shit and confidently strutting across a damn near empty street in a pretty outfit and basically having the time of their lives when really, any woman knows, that it's those days when it feels and looks like your uterus is killing itself, and you don't want to wear pretty clothes on those days. Hell, you don't even want to get out of your room cuz every little thing will either piss you off or make you cry, or both. And don't tell me that it's because "the pad/tampon is supposed to feel nice and soft and natural , like it's not even there" because you *can* feel that. You just tend to ignore/forget about it for a part of the day because you're busy with other stuff.

Enough of the "every woman in commercials looking like a model", we're in the late 2010s of the 21st century, not the 90s and early 2000s. And stop glorifying the menstrual cycle. Sure, it's natural, but that doesn't mean it's pretty. The menstrual cycle is literally a 3 to 14 day battle with yourself, and it messes with you, not only physically, but mentally as well during that time.

At the end of the day, let's be honest, what we really want to see in an ad or commercial for pads and tampons, are real women, having a real day, with real emotions.

Like an awful wreck, I can't look away but everytime I get close to saying what I need to I can feel the hands and eyes holding me back. It's rough. It's been really rough.
