1. What’s the most depressing movie you’ve ever watched?

I feel like I’ve seen more depressing movies than are coming to mind but off the top of my head I’ll say Testament of Youth because it’s not just sad because of all the loss the main character experiences in World War I but because it’s actually based on reality so that makes it 10x sadder. It broke me. I sobbed hard several times. Barely got through like a full minute without crying again. Awful, beautiful movie.

2. Which book would you like to see adapted into a film?

I’m realllly not a reader and in recent years I’ve become even less of a reader than I already was but A Light to My Path by Lynn Austin is one I read ages ago and it still stays with me. It tells the story of two slaves, a young man and woman, who are sort of forced into marriage for awful reasons and he’s so angry and fueled by hate and becomes a soldier in the Civil War and it was just exquisitely written. An unexpected love story that I really love and would love to see brought to life.

3. Your favourite comedy film?

Gonna go with Bruce Almighty. It makes me laugh so hard everytime I watch. I love the ridiculous idea of a guy playing God and eventually seeing how really hard it would be after doing everything so wrong. It’s hilarious.
