Originally, I didn't plan on participating in April Camp Nano, but after growing very tired of editing my November novel, High Born, I decided a new creative project would do me a lot of good.

Hi guys! I think I'm going to join this year's Nanowrimo!! So excited, hope I can reach 50,000 words (or more) and actually create a good novel. I have some ideas on the back of my head, but it's really far back and I'll need to dig really deep to find them. I really hope I can keep the discipline for a month writing every day. I can't wait to get home and turn on my computer so I can find out what Julie Murphy's favorite number is and why. My Tumblr app crashes every time I get to it, so it must be just world-shattering. It's so amazing that just the thought of it breaks things!

Decisions decisions

I'm very much looking forward to Camp NaNoWriMo.

So much so, in fact, that I'm trying to figure out just what I'm going write come July.

I've narrowed it down to this:

1) Book 3 of the Scarred Sun Trilogy

2) Another Rio Crew adventure

3) The novelization of a story within a story (more deets when it's not a huge spoiler)

4) Something completely new and different

Option 1 would make many people (including my oldest daughter's sophomore English teacher!) pretty happy.

Option 2 would, too.

Option 3 would be a fun escape from "normal" while remaining with mostly comfortable details.  It would also take a while before anyone got to really enjoy it because of that whole spoiler thing.

Option 4 is always open... but, honestly... it would take a pretty phenomenal bit of inspiration to pull me out of the two established worlds I already haunt.

Welcome, I suppose

So the rest of OLL has a tumblr, so I figured, why not. I've been blogging for years; I started in 2002, on Livejournal, as a way to chronicle the saga of getting married. I didn't know what blogging was, then; I still have a hard time seeing that journal as a weblog, per se, because it WAS an online journal, for me. 

I started my first official blog on blogspot in 2006, as a more public alternative to Livejournal.It tends to be a seasonal thing. So, I figured I'd see how this one goes. I'll have a theme for my posts, eventually, once I figure out what I want to write about. 

A little about me; I'm a 30-something mother of two small kids, forums moderator for OLL (currently tending four event websites, NaNoWriMo, Script Frenzy and their corresponding YWP sites.) I'm poor, Southern, and a writer. Unpublished. 

And why do you care about me? You don't. But I do hope to encourage you to, one day!
