Hi, I go to the GIC in Northamptonshire & I'm 11 months on T. Before I started T I was prescribed Leuprorelin Acetate however it was never given to me & the GIC said that's okay, they'll look at my blood test & see if I still need it. I went to my 3rd appointment in May & my oestrogen levels were really high & so the doctor said to go on Leuprorelin Acetate however my GP doesn't know what it is to prescribe it. I live in South London & I was wondering if anyone has had this experience?

If your GP doesn’t know how to follow up on the treatments recommended by the GIC, they should really be contacting the clinic themselves to seek further information, or getting guidance from a local endo team. I’d suggest asking your GP to contact the clinic in the first instance. However, you could also show them this guidance on prescribing masculinising HRT - specifically section 5.8 on pp9-10, which mentions leuprorelin.
