I got distracted from Lilia and Silver. My bad. Have a bird.
what people are fundamentally not understanding from the "levan is crowley/crowley is levan/malleus dad" theory is that crowley might just be the personality of that mask that is possessing levans body
"but how could crowley ever rizz maleanor and lilia????? hes an idiot!!!" well number 1: maybe thats the mask personality and not HIS!!!!! and number 2: maybe maleanor and lilia liked idiots.
like, everyone always says how it doesnt make sense at all and how it cant be true because crowley doesnt talk to lilia or malleus differently and because lilia doesnt recognize him but like. the mask??? are we forgetting his mask which is probably a magical artifact. also the fact that lilia hasnt seen levan in like, what, 400-500 years?
ive always understood the theory as that he was possessed by the mask when he was sent on that expedition and thats why he never came back. and the mask has a very stupid personality so it just ran away with his body, leaving the valley of thorns
imagine you get possessed for 400 years by a fucking mask and when someone finally takes it off your wife is dead, your son who was supposed to still be an egg is 200 years old (also hes overblotting and threatening to destroy the world), and your best friend slash lover slash is complicated is dying because hes OLD and gave all his magic so your son could be born. imagine that. also youre the headmaster of an academy and everyone thinks youre stupid.
'The egg needs to be born from true love'
Contains spoilers to Book 7 in Twisted Wonderland
Exactly. Born.
Being born is like being hatched, not being in the egg or created. Being born is being released to the outside world, not being protected from it by a shell or skin (in humans case).
What I mean to say is, does an egg not have to be made from true love?
Sure, Meleanor and Levan did loved each other, but when they both were gone, the egg was starting to slowly die.
It's not about the creation of him, it's about the lack of love.
The love that managed to make Malleus hatch was Lilia's true love.
It wasn't the eggs parents love, but it was love strong enough to make it hatch.
So that makes me wonder, does creating an egg need true love? Or does the hatching need it and you can create one without it?
Since keeping it alive is so very hard, that one could call it impossible without true love. Since we've seen how hard it was even for Maleficia to keep Malleus alive.
But if you only could do it with true love, would the Senate really keep on insisting on marrying Draconias off to others to make connections?
If they couldn't make an egg, the Draconias would be extinct, right? The heir was also their priority, since they rather disliked Meleanor for her actions towards them.
But if theoretically love is needed only for hatching and not creating it, could it be that a mother's love for their child would be enough make them hatch?
Of course it would have to be love storing enough for a child to hatch, but that's not impossible, is it?
Without true love to a partner, could Meleanor make Malleus hatch, if he were to be a son of some random royalty? Could she do it with a mathernal love?
Since dragons are very passionate, a mother even if hated the father, would still take the best of care for her child.
But can one person's love, be strong enough hatch an egg? Yes. Lilia did it. Did it, with Malleus.
It wasn't Malleus's parents nor his relatives, but a true and honest love that made him hatch.
Looking at the blood-relations he was a complete stranger and yet, the only thing needed was love.
Love from one person.
Love strong enough. A mother's love for their child is unconditional, so that surely should be enough?
If one person, a complete stranger can make a child hatch, then why can't his mother?
So my interpretation of it is that the egg doesn't have to be created with love, but needs to be hatched with one.
Fae's wouldn't throw themselves at each other to make children they can't hatch, so they were doing it only with the loved ones.
To be sure that the child could survive with the love it would get, no matter what could happen to one of the parents, they still would have the other one to look after the egg.
But even with both parents gone, the child still can hatch with love. It doesn't even have to be their parents' affection.
That's why the Senate wasn't afraid of the end of the Draconias bloodline, they eventually knew that, no matter how prideful Meleanor is, she would make her child hatch. No matter the cost.
Just as she sacrificed herself for Malleus when he was in egg, was a statement at how much she loved her child. She would do it over and over again if needed, her love would surely be enough. Even without Levan.
And the fact that Maleficia also used magic instead of love to keep Malleus alive for as long as possible.
So, keeping the egg alive haven't needed love (even tho it was slowly dying), but could hold on themselves for a while with only magic.
It's one of my late night rambles so don't take it too seriously. It was only my what if, since the Senate wouldn't let Draconias die this easily. Besides it's only what if, I hope it hasn't hurt anyone or hasn't made anyone enraged.
Swan Lake Act One: The Very First Night
"Hmm, I do have one person who knows," Malleus spoke as he formed a leaf. "An old friend of my mother's resides in this forest, and if you give him this leaf, he will help you with the search for the Book of Forest Lore."
"But what if he isn't home?" Epel frown. "That fae is quite elusive."
"Even if he isn't there, it's crucial for you to search regardless. Levan's magic is growing stronger every single day, and it's imperative for you to find the Book of Forest Lore before it becomes more potent." Malleus's words carried a sense of urgency, emphasizing the gravity of their quest.
Do nocturnal faes go to the beach at night time ? But enjoying the sun and warmth is a big part of the beach, isn't it ?? Was this ever mentioned in the game, I can't recall at all,, I got sick after the lineart so I rushed the colors to go die in my bed asap. 🥹
On another subject, this might either be the last post in a while or the start of an absolute spam of posts. 🙇 I've received a court summon for something that affects me a lot and I have no clue how well I'll cope with it lol,, so... We'll have to see, I suppose. 😓
I’m drawing Raverne :) await patiently.
in the meantime! Random raverne hc becuz why not: he’s a sleepyhead. He would not be caught DEAD napping when he isn’t supposed to, but free time? Head on desk. At the end of the day, the moment his head hits the pillow— he’s OUT. Don’t try getting him up in the morning unless you are determined or really stubborn (both his partners. Dove would fall under patience lol)
This looks like an awfully good time to post this doodle lol.
The sleepiest guys around. 🐦⬛🦇
I headcanon Lilia and Meleanor to be nearly fully nocturnal, while Raverne goes to bed early and wakes up at the crack of dawn,, like an actual bird. 🐦⬛
Sure, Meleanor is terrifying with her magic and thunder, and General Lilia may be short but he's just as scary when he wants to be—but picture this.
An absolute sweetheart of a Raverne. Helps out servants when he has freetime, bonds with kitchen staff and maids, stays updated on his soldiers and remembers every little family detail they share around the campfire, going as far as to remember to give them the day off for their birthdays and various anniversaries before they even put in the request.
But everyone agrees Raverne is the scariest of the three. Because he's a harpy (or siren !). He could tear you to shred without a weapon or magic, very, very easily. A Raverne that may look slightly uncanny at times, whenever he's intimidating someone during court, because all of a sudden his nails seem too long for his hands, his teeth too sharp for his face and his pupils too big for his eyes.
Sure, Meleanor and Lilia are chaotic, but Raverne is the one keeping them in check for a reason ! 🐦⬛🦇🐉
Old → New !
I did a re color of this one before Artfight started to see how my new coloring style would look like,, I definitely prefer the new one. 🙂↕️ I also realised I never posted the full version of it, so here you guys go lol.
