i've also been watching drive to survive and getting into f1 lately! seen some posts talking about what got people into f1 and my story is: i saw pictures of charles leclerc and realized he was pretty much a perfect fit for the mental image id had for my d&d character so i started saving pictures of him lmaooo
finished watching succession yesterday; what a fucking show holy shit. immediately went up among my all-time fav pieces of media.
i did hyperfixate on it to an extent, but it was one of those rare rare instances where my consumption of it didn't have to be fueled by the hyperfixation dopamine but just by how stunningly good the show itself was! huge appreciation for that.
that said, roman roy was definitely my hyperfixation character holy shit he means so much to me
so one of my current slight hyperfixations has been formula 1, which my bf has been having a lot of fun joking abt bc he thinks it’s either very Straight Man of me or very Seven Year Old Boy (which i see and also think is funny)
anyways yesterday for valentine’s day he had gotten me a miniature version of the 2022 model of the ferrari f1 car, with charles leclerc (my fav driver) on the packaging and everything ?? and the whole gift was themed so he’d also gotten me those red ferrari shaped candies and a card with a ferrari on it (originally a bday card for a seven year old).
this was, of course, hilarious, but it was also so sweet bc he wanted to show that whatever weird or silly hyperfixation i have he’ll always support me and want to hear about it 😭
drunk at the club thinking abt how i really want someone to have a look at my brain and tell me everything that’s irreuglar about me, but also knowing that most psychologists arent able to understand me properly anyways. narcissism? i dont think so, but something related perhaps
i Really want to get back to actively posting my art online……… but to do that i have to either A) start actually finishing pieces, or B) learn to drop the perfectionism and be okay with posting unfinished stuff.

one of the most notable internet lingo/phenomenon shifts ive gotten to experience has to be the usage of the word 'kinning'. because most of the time i don't really think about it, but then every now and again i'm just suddenly struck by what a WILDLY different thing it was some years back (pre-2019 maybe?). i remember the intense discourse around the concept (both from non-kinners, about the validity of the concept itself, and among kinners about double-kinning and 'kinnie' being a slur and whatever the hell else it was)
and then suddenly everyone on tiktok was just using it to say 'hey these are characters i relate to a lot!'. and that shift just kinda snuck up, at least on me, and now no one bats an eye if someone says they kin someone. wild
