Oh absolutely. Vet thinks he's a mini....somethingdoodle, probably golden. We're starting on some housetraining skills and manners as he gets comfortable. We've just never had a puppy before. Its weird.

Evaporated milk is probably the closest American product but it does not appear thick enough since only 40% the water is reduced out.

The can (and consistency of the contents) in the video looks like Media Crema. It’s a Nestle product and, in my area at least, can often be found in the Mexican section of regular grocery stores.
Kiwis on various discussion boards have confirmed evaporated milk is too thin and condensed milk is too sweet, and I think neither have the right fat content, but they’re closer than say, normal cream. Media Crema does look closer than either, though I’m given to understand it might also be rather thin for the purpose. Still, it’s on my list to try.

A friend who moved back after years in New Zealand tells me that Nestle Extra Thick Cream is a good substitute and available here in the USA. I don't often see it at the market but you can order it online.

Honestly, I would LOVE to visit New Zealand, it seems like an amazing place. I may need to add it into my fantasy Pacific Trip; it used to be Malaysia to South Korea to Japan but including New Zealand and a stop in Australia would round it out nicely.

nope! i kept checking but as of 10 hours ago garbage collection was still planned. on the bright site the only garbage trucks i see on my route are the kind with the arm thing on the outside that picks up the bin and dumps it in the back, so hopefully the workers dont have to get out of the truck much

If I were doing anything where I had to put something down on the table, I’d probably have to. I have one of those Rare Earth metal models I’ve been wanting to do for ages, but I know Deebs would try to eat bits of it. And Polk likes to knock shit off tables. When I do a puzzle I have to cover it with plexi when I’m not nearby, so that they don’t mess it up. But with cross-stitch it’s always in my hand, and Deebs has pounced a few times but she’s always gotten an immediate scolding and once (accidentally) got a swat across the nose, so she doesn’t do it so much anymore.

In theory, because it’s warm in my condo, it’s artisanal paprika season year round, but the last few months I haven’t caught the fruit before it started to wither. I always give it a day too long, it feels like.

lawyers speak...that is why they used to have special transcriptionist tape players that had foot petal controls and a dedicated petal to replay the last 5 secs over and over again.
Oh, they still have them, they’ve just gone digital. You can buy a foot pedal that will plug into your USB port and work with the little in-site app that the site uses, if you really want to. (I have a transcription headset that plugs into the USB port; it was a trifle pricey but nice to have one pair of headphones that are super clear and can really crank on volume.)
But the little applet itself actually has keyboard controls built in -- when you hit tab, the playback stops and automatically skips back slightly (you can customize how far it skips back, I think the default is something like 1.3 seconds). Shift-tab skips back five seconds so you can replay. F3 speeds up the playback and F11 slows it down.
It’s gotten to the point where if I’m watching a show and want to pause it, I forget I need to use the mouse to hit pause, and hit Tab on my keyboard instead. :D

If it's any consolation...you can paint tile.
I feel like painting tile in the shower is not a great plan, though. At least, not long term. And honestly in the short term I don’t mind the color -- but I think I might retile the shower before I move in just because that way I can still shower SOMEWHERE. :D

Depending on costs...and if your going to re-tile anyways. Look at costs to maybe replace the tub with something bigger/deeper? (also depending on the rules of your HOA regarding that kind of work. I work for a property management for HOA so..ahaha all the rules =_= )
I honestly don’t mind the tub -- it’s old but you can’t really go bigger (the wall, which intrudes into someone else’s unit, is in the way). It just that tile, good god.
Fortunately when I moved into this place I took out the shitty showerhead my landlord had installed and put in a nicer showerhead, so I’ll take that with me when I go, because the one true bathroom issue in a non-aesthetic sense is that the showerhead leaks like CRAZY.
