Harry has been trying to get a meeting with Lex Luthor since --- since his father died.
He thinks, perhaps, he is more like Lex than he is like Norman. ( Lex Luthor is more than Norman Osborn: more successful, more clever, more brave, more liked, more, more, more. )
So while he had been failing to get a meeting with Lex Luthor, it seemed that FATE ( if it can be called that ) decided to intervene. Harry sees the man at a small fundraising affair. Truth be told, Harry does not remember what the event is for; Harry does not remember how long he has been here. But he sees Lex Luthor, and he decides to approach the man.
“Mr. Luthor,” Harry begins. He remembers, as a child, sneaking into one of his father’s business meetings; approaching the presidential candidate gives him the same feeling now --- like he is too small for his surroundings, like he is in the wrong place. He smiles all the same and extends a hand, just as he was taught. “It’s an honor to meet you. I’m Harry Osborn, of Oscorp Industries.”
He looks at the surrounding people, who are looking at him. He focuses on Lex Luthor. This is his world. This is his world.
“I understand that you may not have time, so I’ll be quick: I’d like to make a donation. Two donations, actually.” The words come out easy, practiced. “Money and information. Do you have a moment to speak privately?”
