Yeah it's a fairly well known phrase. Meaning 'no longer young' or 'fresh' or 'vibrant...As in new born animals are mostly born in spring.'

Basically, i sort of slyly implied that my teacher was prematurely aging (i was only joking, he's not) and he was like "i'm sensitive about this stuff" so i made up for it by calling him a spring chicken, because it's funny PLUS it gets the message across but he didn't know what it meant and neither did any of the people in my class and i'm never going to hear the end of this.

Random aside, your eye seems rather luminous, I’d try leaving just the eye coloured. Would look lovely… Just an idea.

If I take my eye from the coloured picture and put it in the b/w one, this is how it looks. I haven't even done anything to the colour, and it still looks unreal

1: What book would you turn into a movie if it was definitely going to be a hit movie? We’re talking flawless casting, Oscar winning performances and scripts, perfect effects, a musical score that brings a tear to your eye or fire to your heart (depending on the book I guess) the whole nine yards.

I'm looking forward to the movie adaptation of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, and if it's not done well I'll be massively disappointed. But for one that is not currently in plans to be made? The Little White Horse, which is a lovely book I read as a child, which is marketed as a "girl book", but is hardly that: it has a great female protagonist and awesome adventures.

2: Quick you are being sucked into the world of a book, what one is it?

I lost myself in the Harry Potter books. I was convinced that I WAS Hermione. (I have just spent a long time looking for a picture to prove this with no success.)

3: Now that you’re stuck in the universe of your chosen book, what are you going to do? Find your favourite character and befriend them? Sleep around? Become to new villain?

Much as above: study hard, be the greatest witch of my age etc etc. I think I'd do more of the Marauding, if I had prior knowledge of the storylines. I'd love to play quidditch. :D

4: You can only read the books published by two authors for the rest of your life, who are they? The books can be old or yet to be published, but only those two authors.

Scary. I guess... I really like John Green's writing, I could definitely stand to read his stuff. And... Stephen Fry. His novels are funny and complex.

5: How much money, estimated, have you spent on books or directly book related things? Like bookmarks, shelves for books, reading lamp etc.

No idea! Hundreds on books themselves, though that's predominantly textbooks. I have a Kindle but I didn't buy it. So probably just the books.

6: What one character would you bring out of any book to live in our world forever?

George Cooper from the Song of the Lioness books. I loved him dearly.

7: Roughly how many books have you read? 

In my lifetime? If I only count those I've read in their entirety... that's probably on average 10/year as a child (<18) and more like 3 or 4 as an adult... ~154. That's not a bad estimate. Let's go with that.

8: What books would you recommend for me?

The Liar, if you haven't read it. It's fantastic.

I was actually just thinking about this last night. I got into fantasy by reading the Song of the Lioness Quartet, by Tamora Pierce. They're about a young girl who switches places with her twin brother so that she can be a knight and he can be a sorcerer. Pierce has gone on to write heaps more novels as well and I'd easily rate her as my favourite author. I just keep coming back to her books again and again and I would love to see them in film version!

I would go to Hogwarts and get into Slytherin and play Quidditch and make friends and be a badass witch.

Easily over a thousand. I have about 200 books in my room, and even more back at my parents place.

Numair Salmalin, the wizard in Tamora Pierce's the Immortals Quartet. He was my first fictional crush.

Hundreds. I would estimate the figure to be hovering on the 650 mark, perhaps. It could easily be much more. I read A LOT.

8: What books would you recommend for me?

You seem interested in fantasy, so my favourite authors of that genre are Tamora Pierce, Anne Bishop, Kristin Cashore (her books are mindblowingly good), Trudi Canavan, Garth Nix, Paul Collins, Kim Falconer, Jennifer Fallon, Cassandra Clare, and Laurell K. Hamilton. Most of their novels are about badass heroines, but that's my thing haha. Enjoy.
