Hey there congrats on your new job! I know you probably cant share the project that you're on, but what exactly will your role be on the project, if you don't mind my asking?
My official title is “Vis Dev Artist” which DWTV gives to most of their artists, but more specifically my specialty is going to be in color styling and color keys! So in other words, I’ll be choosing colors for the characters and props and figuring out how they will look in various lighting conditions. As for color keys, they are blueprints for what the colors of all the shots in the episode will look like. I’ve been freelancing with this particular show for the last two months and they’ve decided to bring me in-house for full-time! I can’t speak much about the show because it hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s an original show and it looks completely different from anything else on TV right now. It’s something that I’d draw bucketloads of fanart for as a young adult! It’s gonna be on Netflix when it comes out and I’m so psyched to be working on it!
