Preparing for the PLOT DROP
With this NEW SEASON comes a NEW FEATURE : plot drops won't be as much as a big surprise as before, allowing your characters to prepare for events and make world building easier and smoother for all. Here are a few hints at what comes next :
THE JABBERWOCKS have just selected their new leader, Theodore Byrne, cousin to Malachi Liddell, their former leader gone missing.
These days, tongues are loosened only to advance on how to play their next card. Do they want to secure their backs or strike hard, and remind London, but especially their thieving and murdering friends that they have no intention of being replaced? Business resumes and without the treaty, nothing prevents them from selling their products on the land of the Jolly Rogers and to nibble, little by little, on this territory which once belonged to them.
The JOLLY ROGERS, meanwhile, elected by democratic and universal vote, Javier Vidal at the head of the organization. The latter not being known for half measures or for excesses of diplomacy, will invite the members of his gang to prepare for a sizeable heist on the casino (The Red Rose Casino) of their lifelong enemies. They'll take advantage of a public event to both infiltrate the party and rob the Jabberwocks of what could have been a very good evening.
As for the media, and members of the government : they'll be invited to the event personally, for the Liddell family is a corner stone of this city, and not the sort of donators you want to turn your back on.
Civilians and law enforcers will have seen the posters announcing a night to remember all over the city. Inhabited by the atmosphere of the roaring twenties, the casino will be dressed in gold and black and invite you to dance and spend the night away, so prepare your nicest dress, straighten you bow tie and join us for this decadent event !
MALACHI LIDDELL needs no crown, no diamonds, no glitz. The way to a throne leaves a trail of blood behind, and doesn’t he enjoy the journey. The story of Romulus has him raised by a wolf, killing his own mirror-image of a twin, becoming ruler and founder of Rome, and then swept up by a storm only to become a God. Malachi may not explicitly say what he’s come as to most, but there’s no need to question a man who brings a real wolf to enter his own party.
It’s the end of the year, and the temptation to stay home under the blankets with a warm cuppa is ever so tempting.
Once again, our merchants and our elected officials have redoubled their efforts to cover the streets of London with enchantment and magic. It's danced to Tchaikovsky's masterful score, and shines for its emphasis on the story's magic and for the beautiful, romantic backdrops that transport Clara to exotic lands.
Or, if you’re looking for a high end dining experience and a front row seat for the fireworks show, enjoy your evening at The Savoy : New Year’s Eve at The Savoy is really something magical. To allow characters from all social backgrounds to run into one another, we’ve chosen 3 locations that are all within half a mile of one another. They are all located in the “red viewing area” displayed on the map (Click here). Feel free to find all sorts of excuses to mingle with the wrong crowd as we bid 2022 our goodbyes.
The event will be running from today until January the 8th (we’ll make a poll about it when the time comes) and will end with a splash. As Big Ben counts down to ten, Londoners see their dirty laundry aired to the public through social media. Whether those are simple rumors, absolute lies or secrets you would have loved to keep a secret? That’s entirely up to YOU. - We’ll also ask you to decide on a date that seems most easy for the secrets to be dropped on social medias :)
As of now, you can send your characters’ secrets to the main through the ask box. If you have several characters with one main blog, make sure to precise with which character each secret goes. The secret may be a rumor, a secret, or complete slander (for more IC fun, try not to reveal the truth about your secrets in the OOC chats 😉)
The night had started well: while benefactors, politicians and other people from high society could gather around overpriced champagne and a meal signed by the hand of a multi-starred chef, ordinary citizens could appreciate the works of arts exhibited in the Tate and savor an exceptional evening.
All of a sudden, any number of phones go off, and eyes are drawn away from the art or the food and to screens. Those whose phones didn't buzz look over to their neighbors, and all of a sudden, a wave of whispers travels across the room.
The words conspiracy, treason and scheming are drawn on the lips, sketched with the quill of public judgment or the blade of a sharp knife.
Already, people are standing up to chat with their friends, their advisers or to reach a place where it will be easier to decide what to do next.
Criminals and Politicians alike are shocked by the news and can rush to their HQs to agree on the procedure to follow or stay at the Tate as if nothing happened, happily gossiping about the matters at stake.
Likewise, Civilians, Law Enforcers and Media members are free to either stay or report to duty as the scandal hits everyone’s eyes and ears.
A london falling event - Starting on the 26th of April
The Jolly Rogers have been taking advantage of the shift in leadership in the opposition’s ranks to prepare a bold and extremely lucrative heist. One of the advantages of working in a company is that the workers are always more important than the CEO.
They’d hit the Jabberwocks on their turf, and they would come home with a lot of money in their pockets.
The event at the casino was announced many months ago: every year the casino hosts a large-scale auction, featuring one star element, bound to draw in investors, collectors, as well as every curious citizen in town. Last year, it was a private collector willing to part with a Goya; this year, an emerald that is said to have belonged to none other than Queen Victoria herself.
Paintings, diamonds and antiques will be displayed in the lobby but it is only during the auction that the pièce de resistance will be revealed.
This is when the Jolly Rogers will strike.
For the perfect heist to be pulled off, the gang needs the following roles to be filled:
The Distraction
-As the title already entails, The Distraction's job is to distract. It's up to them to be the center of attention to pull the prying eyes in their direction instead of what's happening behind the smoke screen. Example: posing as the groom/bride of a stag/hen night party to keep the casino's staff catering to them.
The Ball & Chain
-They enter the auction room with an eminent investor* on their arm, potentially harnessing the interest of a Jabberwock who is hellbound on keeping a close eye on them.
The Imposter(s)
-They neutralize and impersonate members* of the private company mandated to handle the objects being auctioned off.
The Quick-Change
-A critical role that requires the one to fill it not to be caught under any circumstances. They have the fake gem in their pockets, ready to change it out for the real one to give the Jolly Rogers as much time to get away before being found to be the fake. They'll be working in tandem with the rest of the crew, a precise dance, while weaving through the wild cards* of the guests and Jabberwocks alike.
In addition to these designated roles for the characters already within the Jolly Rogers, you may have noticed in some of these descriptions an asterisk by some keywords. These roles are encouraged to be played by our members during the event. For those who are interested in playing these temporary (and very possibly in-game disposable) characters, let the main know! We hope this becomes a great opportunity for all our players to enhance their muse since these characters are just for fun without any pressure to continue with them!
For those who play characters who are in neither gang, there are plenty of opportunities built in!
From gathering the major storylines of the night to upholding the laws of London or being a V.I.P. for the night, the Red Casino welcomes all making it the perfect opportunity for characters to mingle with all sorts of people, criminals, law enforcement, government, etc.

ROYALTY : A house of Cards and Lords - Halloween Event PART II
The night is still young and the party is in full swing : donors generously leave part of their earnings in the lobby's piggy bank, and though some prefer to keep their chips all to themselves, the acrylic porcine is on its way to be filled to the brim.
Yes, the event is going strong and there seems to be nothing that will stop it now, not even the tensions between gangs, the suspicious stares of scorned politicians or the eager ears of our dear journalists. Even the simplest of civilians seem to be playing along even as they lose part of their gambled money.
But, we wouldn't be having a good Halloween night without a bit of a FRIGHT.
Hard to tell which comes first : the screams or the dark.
The casino's lights are out, and clients and personnel on the rooftop see the streets fade to black, neighborhood after neighborhood. London is in the dark.
A minute passes, and then five pass, and it becomes clear that there’s no sign of the power coming back on anytime soon.
That would be when people realize that the doors have them all locked in, shut hermetically for obvious anti-theft measures.
Your character is welcome to react however you think they would! Nobody knows what caused the blackout, but people are welcome to blame others for it, try to find a way to get the lights back on, or to take advantage of the darkness.
Jabberwocks suspect foul play from the Jolly Rogers, famed robbers who could use this as an opportunity to get into the casino's vaults.
Jolly Rogers suspect a distraction from their hosts and try to regroup through the opaque halls and find a plan. Will they flee or stand their ground ?
The members of the government try to get their hands on the precious piece of information that will bring light to the citizens and, without a doubt, give their party the upper most capable hand for the night.
As for citizens, they start to wonder how they can make the best out of being stuck in a casino while having no contact with the outer world, one glass door away.
