🕺❄️ The most wonderful time of the year 🍾💃

It’s the end of the year, and the temptation to stay home under the blankets with a warm cuppa is ever so tempting.

Once again, our merchants and our elected officials have redoubled their efforts to cover the streets of London with enchantment and magic. Whatever district you are in, you will have the opportunity to stroll through our famous Christmas markets, or come across one of the many ice rinks installed by the city for the end of the year.

Now let's find the perfect way for you to leave 2022:

Kicking off at 7pm on New Year's Eve, and running all the way until 2am, Somerset House has partnered with Moët & Chandon to ring in 2023 with a bang. There’ll be fireworks, music from Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK’s Jonbers Blonde and Soho Radio, food from Chalet Suisse, fizz aplenty and beautiful views. What more could you want from an evening ?

If the buzz and agitation isn’t truly your thing or if you want a more classical approach to New Year’s Eve, come to the Opera House and enjoy Sir Peter Wright's sumptuous, classical version of 'The Nutcracker'. It's danced to Tchaikovsky's masterful score, and shines for its emphasis on the story's magic and for the beautiful, romantic backdrops that transport Clara to exotic lands.

Or, if you’re looking for a high end dining experience and a front row seat for the fireworks show, enjoy your evening at The Savoy : New Year’s Eve at The Savoy is really something magical. The Savoy has formed a double-act with Champagne Laurent-Perrier to put on a show, with a festive activation entitled, ‘It’s Showtime’ that will give guests a truly memorable experience. From festive cocktails to extravagant parties or a delicious afternoon tea, enjoy a sense of Winter Wonderland magic.

To allow characters from all social backgrounds to run into one another, we’ve chosen 3 locations that are all within half a mile of one another. They are all located in the “red viewing area” displayed on the map (Click here). Feel free to find all sorts of excuses to mingle with the wrong crowd as we bid 2022 our goodbyes.

The event will be running from today until January the 8th (we’ll make a poll about it when the time comes) and will end with a splash. As Big Ben counts down to ten, Londoners see their dirty laundry aired to the public through social media. Whether those are simple rumors, absolute lies or secrets you would have loved to keep a secret? That’s entirely up to YOU. - We’ll also ask you to decide on a date that seems most easy for the secrets to be dropped on social medias :)

As of now, you can send your characters’ secrets to the main through the ask box. If you have several characters with one main blog, make sure to precise with which character each secret goes. The secret may be a rumor, a secret, or complete slander (for more IC fun, try not to reveal the truth about your secrets in the OOC chats 😉)

PART 2

The night had started well: while benefactors, politicians and other people from high society could gather around overpriced champagne and a meal signed by the hand of a multi-starred chef, ordinary citizens could appreciate the works of arts exhibited in the Tate and savor an exceptional evening.

All of a sudden, any number of phones go off, and eyes are drawn away from the art or the food and to screens. Those whose phones didn't buzz look over to their neighbors, and all of a sudden, a wave of whispers travels across the room.

The words conspiracy, treason and scheming are drawn on the lips, sketched with the quill of public judgment or the blade of a sharp knife.

Already, people are standing up to chat with their friends, their advisers or to reach a place where it will be easier to decide what to do next.

Criminals and Politicians alike are shocked by the news and can rush to their HQs to agree on the procedure to follow or stay at the Tate as if nothing happened, happily gossiping about the matters at stake.

Likewise, Civilians, Law Enforcers and Media members are free to either stay or report to duty as the scandal hits everyone’s eyes and ears.

We're so excited to see so many connections be formed within London Falling! In an effort to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity at receiving their most beloved and wanted connections be filled, we will be putting a limit on the amount of wanted connections sent into the main to be posted and filled by current and new members. This limit will be set at a total of 2.

For those that have already submitted wanted connections, those will be counted towards the limit. If you, at any point in time, would like to remove your open wanted connection and replace it with a different one to be within your 2 limit, you're more than welcome to! Just send in your request to the main, and we'll get to it ASAP.

For our first week back in business, let's start with something both simple and able to get conversations going :

"You’ll never get a second chance to make a great first impression.”

You've heard it, your character's heard it. They say it takes 1/10 th of a second to make yourself an idea of who someone might be. With that in mind, we ask our members to submit a moodboard, a graphic or a list (10 things minimum) of what their characters most often wears (and carries around) to walk through the streets of London. You can include a fit for work and another one for more casual occasions if you wish.

Please tag completed challenges with #lf.content and post a link in the server ! This challenge is NOT mandatory but a nice way to get things going !

Hi Londoners ! Thank you for making London Falling's first weeks absolutely wonderful ! We couldn't have asked for a better group of people to be in this RP, and to those who haven't yet joined, we would love to have you! 

Because it was our first week, we did not have an activity check this week, but this week we will have one !

Just as a reminder, we ask that you have at least one IC post, on each muse you have, per week (we love to see more, but understand that is not always possible).
