▶▶ LOADING … project tva - the bard attempts to solve puzzles! ( solo )

he can barely solve puzzles in some of his nintendo games ( that free cat bento game, he's looking at YOU ) but yushin does feel that he has some street smarts. just not so much with these... riddles and quizzes. it makes him feel incredibly dim, but he's not going to let that get in the way of him having fun! hamming it up for the camera and being a little dramatic is nothing new to him, especially with chiori by his side. albeit he'd much rather not have a reputation for being daft. his skillsets lie elsewhere. such as... sewing together the riddles of life in a musical form. how's that!? anyways, not the point here. yushin had run into an easier riddle first, which had been naming type zero's fan club name, which he excited said, "zenith, of course!!!" and then he bumped into another question about v&a's debut music, which he felt was cheating at that point, because he was an original v&a member.

after a bit more walking, yushin finds himself with his mouth flattening as he stares off into the distance at what was a clue. but he couldn't tell if it was a legitimate one or not. yushin had been fooled a few stops back earlier, before the riddles and now he was tizzled! "this doesn't make any sense. chiori, paging over to minstar, over?" yushin's unsure if he has to actually say over, but it's so funny and taken from the movies he's watched over the years... "are you far from where i am? third floor um... near... near.... the center? i may need your assistance with your ability," he chuckles lowly. "okay. see you soon!"

having chiori with him for this adventure is honestly quite sweet. but hilarious. he lives for these things. it feels almost like.. larp-ing in a way, however they call it. but he'd seen bits and pieces of idols doing funny things in malls growing up and now he's doing it here too with the tva group and their mascots. the plushies were genuinely so cute. but he'll be the first to say he's not spectacular at escape room or puzzles, but yushin's always had fun if nothing else. competitive streak could also hanker out and beat out the fact that he wasn't so great at puzzles, period. his first thought is holy cow, why is the mall so big? but it's a good thing that they were here during closure or having it closed off for the event rather than having it packed full of people. ( he could only imagine. ) having two bards in the group was quite funny to begin with but the walkie talkies could definitely help them out.

in a mall this vast, without having his walkie-talkie skill first, it sucked. going through the puzzles by himself and trying not to lose his mind, even with the staff's help. finally having seen one of his other comrades, his ability was activated and they were able to exchange walkie talkies. chiori and he do a little song of a sort ( flute noises.. flute noises... and some sort of cute chant. ) because hey, they're bards to 'activate' the ability. he didn't know if that was necessary but he'd find out in the aftermath, yushin supposes. "finally. thank god we ran into each other. now i can help you from a distance! let me know if you run into anyone else, or if hyoseop also catches any one of us others, so that we can all be in contact with each other." cheol's paladin skill would certainly come in handy later, especially if he was to encounter a "harder" question.

i wasn't meant for solving riddles

...

hyoseop hadn’t fully expected his mascot character to be this cute, and when he got the plush into his hand, he stared at it for quite a bit of time, very satisfied with the end result. it was cute, and he hoped it would help him with today’s project. 

while hyoseop was aware the mall was big, he was still surprised by the size of it, “i think all of the residents in the city i grew up in could live here” he looks around, obvious shocked expression sitting on his face. “i hope the others know what they’re doing, because i’m not sure how much help i’ll be today… unless i’m getting a task with something physical”. holding tightly onto kkochie, hyoseop walks around, looking for whatever he has to look for, clues… or something he thinks, his bad memory isn’t exactly helping him in this situation. hyoseop goes on with his search, only to soon be met with his worst fear and enemy.

“that’s a riddle, isn’t it?” he says, holding up kkochie, as if he was speaking to the other. “hopefully it’s something simple, or something i actually know, like something with flowers? do you think i’m lucky enough that it’s something with flowers” he grows quiet upon realizing what he’s met with “please tell me that isn’t a math problem”. 

“what is the exact average age of the type zero and vna members” he reads the question out loud, disappointed expression on his face. “now the problem isn’t just i don’t know everyone’s age, it’s also that i suck at math, and i’m not sure i could figure it out, even with knowing everyone’s age…”. hyoseop vanishes for a bit, going on a quest to find a pen and a paper, and soon returns to the riddle he’s not sure he’ll be able to answer.

he sits down, writing down everyone’s ages, “okay kkochie, this is where you come in, are these all of the correct ages?” he asks, showing a piece of paper with everyone’s name on it, along with everyone’s age next to it. “no! what do you mean no kkochie? when i asked you to negate if there was a mistake, i had hoped you’d say there’d be no mistake! erugh… can i phone a friend? i think aster would be able to answer this easily…”. 

hyoseop sits there for way longer than he should, and finally finds an answer, once he says it oud loud though, he gets told he’s wrong. “i know i have three guesses and all, but i’m giving up… i’ll continue my search for clues and easier riddles”.

he's wandering the halls, having found a handful of questions and quests that he had managed to solve on his own. hopefully, he would find another member soon, considering the fact that he hasn't feels weird to him. the mall is pretty big, but that didn't mean that it was impossible to run into someone else right? especially considering that v&a (and staff) were the only ones supposed to be in here now.

he's in the middle of that thought when he spots someone down the hall, having turned into the area he was in and he shushes the camera directors so he can sneak over to ... hyoseop.

instead of scaring the other like he had originally been planning to, he stage whispers "hyoseop-ah~" down the hall, hoping to get the other's attention.

when hyoseop turns, jiho waves with a grin on his lips, beckoning him over.

awakening moment, solo 337 words event: project tva 004

when minjun was given his mascot, there was no better reaction for him other than smile.

because he was a rogue, his mascot had the ability to find hidden objects and hidden clues, so he thought it would be super easy to navigate the mall in a short amount of time and help his group the best way he could.

Unfortunately, things were easier in his head than in action. first off, the mall was huge - not that he wasn’t aware of that -, but when they had the whole place closed for them, the eerie feeling of solitude was just overwhelming, making him gasp for air from time to time as he used the escalators to climb to the higher floors.

deciding it would be easier to reach the top flood and then search for clues while climbing down, minjun was mesmerized when he entered one of the terraces and saw the amazing and exquisite garden there - it was beautiful, filled with exotic plants and flowers minjun never knew existed, and even if he did have a task to fill, he couldn’t help but spend some moments just enjoying the place surrounding him.

wake up minjun, you need to win this thing.

shaking his head, he took a look at his mascot and smiled, “let’s do this, just help me out”, he didn’t know exactly how the mascot was going to help him out, but when he found an envelope with a riddle, he was excited ot open it and proceed to the next one.

this is fake, don’t buy it.

“ohhh, that’s how this thing works then!”, he was excited when the message informed him that he had a fake clue in his hands, immediately dropping the envelope and searching for some more clues.

at the end of almost two and a half hours, minjun was tired of being led through so many wrong clues, but at least he had two right ones. it was time to gather his team and hopefully, win that whole thing.
