got a minute? the text comes without his usual greeting. rooftop. it reads exactly as intended—not as a request, but as a demand.

rowon pockets his phone and leans against the railings, his eyes sweeping over the rumbling city below. he wonders if this is a good call, if this is even worth talking about since this would be the third conversation they’ll be having on it. but he can’t shake the weight that’s been pressing into his chest.

he tries to be casual about it.

“i didn’t think about the future.” this is how he greets @lgcmjun when he hears him approaching. “it didn’t matter. i lived day by day, one hour at a time. but when i asked you to be mine, i started getting glimpses of a future—bits and pieces of my hopes for us.” he lets those words settle long before he finally turns to look at minjun.

and then comes the question he’s here for:

“does anyone else call you junnie?”

the way rowon looks at him reads too clearly of his intent. he already knows the answer. he just wants to know why.

celebrity relations

generally sori doesn’t want people to know who her dad is, a strong fear of getting called ‘nepo-baby’. sori always wanted to debut because she was skilled enough to debut, not because of who her dad is. sometimes sori feels a bit like a ‘nepo-sibling’ since her brother debuted before her and is much more famous than her, but so far she hasn’t heard about anyone saying she only debuted because her brother did, and she’d like to keep it that way.

but a few people know who her dad is, and sori doesn’t mind a few friends knowing, she knows they won’t go around and start talking about who her dad is. though, now that she’s debuted without the help of her dad, can people still suddenly call her a ‘nepo-baby?’.

she finds herself with minjun, who just like her has a celebrity parent and a celebrity siblings. “do you still speak with jimin?” sori questions “my dad worked along with him the other day” sori takes a sip of her banana milk.

the goose from hell

cherry would say she’s good with pets, after all she is a firm believer that she can talk to cats. one of the first things she did once getting her apartment was getting berry, her beloved hamster. just like cherry loves humans, she loves animals, they’re fun to interact with. cherry is a natural with animals, just like she’s a natural with humans. if she had the money and space, she would have way more animals than just a simple hamster.

so with cherry's love for animals, she always brings some bread with her when she goes to the park, feeding it to the different birds, ducks and such. it’s her first time spotting a goose in the park though, and she finds herself staring quite a bit on it. but when it comes her way, rather than excitedly welcome it, she finds herself taking a step back, and when it comes closer, she takes another step back.

and then? it chases her, and the blonde soon finds herself forced to run. that’s when she spots a familiar face, and soon she’s behind minjun, using him as a human shield “minjun that thing” she points at the goose “that’s not a goose, i’m sure, it’s from hell or something”.

harmless matchmaking fun.

PART ONE (because this got too long)

Time to get down to some serious business.

Cupid Seyoon was on the move, ready to hand out matching candies to his fated couples. He walked around the entire Halloween party ground, pretending to be innocently admiring people's costumes while in reality, diligently observed and schemed.

If any of his ships end up sailing after tonight and people get laid, he shall consider it his contribution to humankind and expect karmic rewards.

The first person he pulled to his side was Taeha (@lgctaeha), just to let her know that it was time. As Cupid's assistant and fellow Legacy shipper, he intended to take her opinions into consideration (because let's be real, his alone should not be trusted). Of course, he also had a match for her. "Here," he said, passing her a strawberry candy. It was identical to the one he had handed off to Wenjun (@lgcwenjun) earlier because he thought they would make such a cute couple. "Your match is tall, gorgeous and incredibly sweet. He's one of the only two men I really trust here at Legacy." Only the best for dear Taeha. Seyoon considered this ship sunshine x sunshine, and thought about everlasting summers.

He went to Yoojoon (@lgcyoojoon) next, because his brother's wellbeing was always on his mind. He handed him a peach candy, which was the same kind he had given to Milan (@lgcmilan). "Your match is a real peach," he promised Yoojoon after explaining his little game tonight. Milan was a pretty Christian girl and probably wanted a vanilla good boy. Who would be a better fit than his step brother? Nobody. Seyoon gave this ship the name of holy union, because both of the people involved were angels, at least in his eyes.

"Kiwi for you!" He grabbed a wild Ollie (@lgcoliver) by the back of his shirt as the guy was running past and placed a bright green candy into his hand. Seyoon planned to hand the matching candy off to Jaekyung (@lgcjaekyung) because she was really fun and could probably match Ollie's energy.

Seyoon looked down at the next candy he'd pulled out of his basket. It was watermelon, which was the flavor he gave to Yujin (@yujinlgc). The idea of matching her hurt, because she was a goddess and his idol, so nobody really deserved her. A part of him wanted to take the candy back for his Yujin shrine, but the other less selfish part wanted to find her someone. While contemplating, he accidentally bumped into Akio (@lgcakio), and ended up dropping the candy into his pocket. It would be weird to reach into his fellow trainee's pocket now and get the candy back, so instead he accepted fate and gave Akio a sulky look. "You better treasure her," he told the guy. All things considered, this one was not a bad option - Akio was a good man as far as he knew, better than a lot of the others.

Minjun (@lgcmjun) was a difficult one, because Seyoon still couldn't look at him without feeling the guilt. He assigned the guy grapefruit flavored candy, because that was Asher's favorite and gave the matching one to Jisoo (@lgcjisoo). Maybe back then, he, Jisoo and Asher were never meant to be a trio. Sometimes he wished he could go back and change things. This was his attempt, he supposed.

Perhaps BK (@lgcbk) would be confused about getting paired up with Sori (@lgcsori) via the apple candy but he should trust Seyoon's judgement. Sori was a cutie, especially whenever she got a bit tipsy. There might be a party girl hiding inside and those rosy cheeks were incredibly charming, which he highly doubted any man could resist.

Who on the earth should he pair up with Yuxi (@lgcyuxi)? She was real spicy with guys, but Seyoon had seen her interacting better with the ladies. Since Yuxi was working with the cool older sister vibe, he figured he'd find her someone with a little sister look. Maybe Amelia (@lgcamelia) would be a good choice! They can enjoy their raspberry candies together.

We’ve been trying to contact you concerning Kang Minjun. He got into an accident and you were informed to be his emergency contact, so if this number still belongs to Han Rowon and you know one Kang Minjun, we would like you to come to the hospital. If you do not know this person, we’re very sorry to disturb you with this information and you can ignore this message. Thank you, have a good day.”​

rowon can count the number of times he’s felt true fear on one hand.  the first was when he lost someone he was asked to keep a close eye on.  the second was when he saved another from going over a cliff.  and the third … is hearing this.

his heart sinks to his stomach.  his mind goes blank.  he barely registers what’s said beyond kang minjun and accident.  not that it matters;  he doesn’t need the details.  accident is enough to have him grabbing his keys, pulling on his shoes, his jacket — where the hell is his — no matter, there’s no time to waste.  he can deal with the cold.

rowon doesn’t know when he gets here, or how, really, but none of that matters either.  the only thing that does is that he’s here, breathless, eyes blown wide, asking for which wing, which room, yes, i’m family.  unfortunately, the receptionist recognizes him from the times he’d swung by to visit his brother.  fortunately, months of making small talk pays off;  she slips the room number.

when he first walked these corridors, he was light on his feet.  he let the nurses sweep him left and right as they tried to sugarcoat what happened to robin.  all he remembers is the feeling of annoyance lodged between his teeth.  the same annoyance now clings to a twisted gut and a parched mouth.  his steps are heavier this time around, as if they’re telling him stop, don’t go, you don’t want to see.  but he has to.  he needs to.  he needs to make sure that minjun’s okay, that he’s all right, that he’s —

rowon comes to an abrupt halt at the foot of the door.  his blood runs ice cold.  their last fight had caused this.  he knows it, he feels it.  “… jun.”  what happened?
