QUICK OOC NOTE ‧ ‧ ‧ this is something i used to do on other muses ( modeled after an old friend ), so i’ll be making the addition here. this is a nice way to keep up with your character and their developments - so i definitely recommend ! it’s fun and interesting to see how your muse grows, and since jiao’s 1 MONTH passed here at legacy, i figured now would be a good time to start. i’ll try to do this often, towards the end of the month, but we’ll see how that goes 👍

♡ TRAINEE LIFE ♡
NOTES FROM THE PAST (2018): jiao auditioned for legacy entertainment not thinking she would give in. she tried, as she feared the wrath of her mother, but was heartbroken when she was accepted and moved to seoul. this adjustment was difficult for her. while she had experience with korean prior to her move, learning to use it everyday was a challenge. she was also on her own for the first time ever, so she faced some behavioral problems in adjusting to trainee life - lowkey hoping she’d get kicked out and sent back home. however, she was too afraid to do anything to bad so she was mainly just lazy pretty much, maybe the occasional minor rule break. notorious for her flings & love for a good party.
CURRENT: she’s definitely calmed down a lot since her first year as a trainee. after being inspired by nana, she decided to take this training a bit more seriously and committed herself to a healthy routine of training and of course partying on the weekends when she feels like it. during class, she’s usually still laid back and has never been one to overachieve or be a kiss ass. never skips training like she used to, and focuses a bit more. career wise, she’s not sure what she’s doing.but her mother thinks she’s there to be an actress; jiao would like to keep it that way.

♡ RELATIONSHIPS ♡
after becoming a trainee, it was unsurprisingly easy for her to socialize and make friends. people like miso, ahin, jongsuk, eunji, jinah, elly, hunji, jueun, shinha, and yeoreum inspire her to be better and house close relationships with the girl. sunhee sparks a drive within her that she didn’t think existed, while jiae makes her want to be irresponsible and reckless.
jiao is confronted with a misunderstanding between her and seolmi, as well as the risky situation of appearing on king’s v-live.
she’s got a bad habit for holding grudges, and seungjae was unlucky enough to find this out in the most odd situation.
jiao kinda sucks with any romantic issue - as seen in her constant string of flings (old and new), alex, and dana who's feelings for her seem to fly right over jiao’s head. she’s always been told to focus on her career rather than relationships and affection, but somehow her relationship with mike has become confusing, at least for her. friend with benefits ended up being way too confusing for her, and she’s kind of lost on what to do.
her mother has come to see her once since her move to seoul, and jiao is disheartened by the fact. at little homesick and missing her mother, the woman is becoming curious as to why it seems she has dropped on her mother’s priority list.

jaewoo doesn't miss the sneer on the corner of his friends' lips by the time the busking group they're watching finishes their last set. he's been on edge the entire time they've been here, holding his breath as he waited for the other shoe to drop; maybe a snide remark, or a backhanded compliment. jaewoo knows his friends, and he's certain they hadn't pulled him over to watch this group just to appreciate their performance. far from it, really.
see, his friends were nice enough most of the time. they were good kids, as far as anybody was concerned. courteous when need be; polite when it’s convenient. not a word out of place when somebody important is listening in. but it’s what boils underneath that jaewoo’s always been careful of. family heirlooms, he likes to call themㅡconceit and scorn and ignorance passed down from one generation to another, much like their wealth. the way they belittled certain things, certain people, like those who choose to pursue the arts. that’s why they’re here, and jaewoo knows it. because they find this whole thing amusing, this energy people put into something they personally find so menial.
"you know what i think?" his friend asks, and jaewoo would rather not hear what comes next, but he obliges. "if you're out here performing on the street, that means you're probably not good enough to make it big, right?" jaewoo's jaw drops, eyes flickering over to the crowd to see if anyone else had heard. a wave of nausea washes over him, and his head rings with i have to leave we have to leave now. "i mean, that's why you'd settle for doing something like this," his friend gestures around in disdain, as if all this was beneath him, "right? if you were actually talented, you wouldn't be performing on the street."
jaewoo doesn’t know how to react, but he hears the rest of his friends laugh. they’re letting their horns show since there’s no one of importance to impress. there’s no need to keep up appearances here, where there are no rich relatives, no family friends, no teachers and faculty to, well, fool. wordlessly, he tries to usher his friends away, because the last thing he needs right now is a scene.
The alarm blares and the gears in her brain try to process precisely what it is that they must do. She had been in the last leg of her training portion with free practice, and it seems it would be cut short today. She automatically reacts, ensuring that everyone else also leaves the room eventually and not to drag everything along with them. Certainly if a coach or superior saw them with all their belongings or running around in heels, that’d be a big no-no moment. She is hesitant, wondering if this is a drill as it has occurred before but the smell of smoke makes her even more on edge, and she looks around, wondering if all rooms have evacuated. In the hall, she spots a girl that is taller among the others, if nothing else comparatively to her, but she recognizes her roommate and waves over to her. “Ya, @lgcsunhee!” The older girl makes her way to the other trainee. “Ready to get out of here? I think we’re supposed to follow the line of trainees leaving,” as if it wasn’t obvious, and she scolds herself mentally for pointing out what was literally happening before them. “I wonder if it’s actually a drill. I think I smell smoke, or am I going crazy from long practice?”
