lets try Hien?

First impression

This is one big beefy Hyur, holy shit. He would definitely stand out from all the other Doman. Σ░(꒪ ◊ ꒪ )))) He does have this very noble air about him. There is also this very carefree attitude from him, you don’t really expect that from someone that is on the run from the Garleans. 

Impression now

He has so much hidden chaotic energy, where did this come from? I did a double take when he was so open about wishing for a fireball when a Garlean ship hits the new protective barrier. Σ(゜ロ゜;)

He’s another lovable dork. I will admit I don’t really agree with some of the actions he has taken after becoming crown prince but his heart is in the right place. However, overall I find him cute. 

Favorite moment

The moment when Hien hestates to leave us behind to fight a primal. Leading up to that moment, Hien had always been able to help us in some way or been away from the area before the primal was summoned. It dawned on me that Hien is in a situation where he is forced to run away while we fight something larger than life. That for a moment, he feared more for our safety than his own. 

Idea for a story

I really want to see Hien in other location other than the Steppe and the Ruby Sea. I want him in Ishgard probably still cozy in his fur outfit, I want to see him in the Black Shroud or Limsa. I did kinda wish that he was in a place where he could have blended in more with the people to hide but this gives a chance to see what it would be like for him in other locations. 

Unpopular opinion

Hien likely lacks a lot experience in love, which is why he seems to be dense to Cirina’s feelings for him. He doesn’t even realize that she still prays for him to this day because he likely only thought that she was kind. 

Favorite relationship

Hien’s relationship with Gotetsu, it’s very clear that he cares a lot for the Roe since they have been walking the same path for so long. To see them finally part ways is sad, but at the same time very delightful. It shows that Hien is growing up and older, he needs to be able to take care of himself and his countrymen now. 

Favorite headcanon

Hien is great with kids! Part of it is because he has as much energy as one, but I can see him with a flock of kids running around the Enclave. They’ll keep everyone on their toes.

WoL x Aymeric

A: I love itThey’re an amazing duo. the mutual respect and trust is so nice, and I for one really liked the development of Aymeric from when we first interacted with him in 2.4 to especially the moment we share with him in 3.3 at Sohr Khai when talking to Hraesvalgr. While I especially love the fact that both scenes involve Alphinaud (the trio gives me life) AND negotiating, I think it’s a really great comparison of how DEEP the relationships went over time. The looks, the talks, having each other’s back no matter what...

Happy Birthday to me! Looking at this years photos so far and this is my fav out of them 8P just @velvetomen, her boyfriend, and I at a local con. Both my longest and closest friends. She takescare to focus her vision on the younger woman beside her on the dock, thisvibrant, tenacious, darling young woman—oh, Taimu is like a sister! How couldshe ever regret knowing her at all?

The sun is low and sparkling across the water and she canhear the muffled sounds of life and new blooming industry behind them in theslowly-growing Enclave. It’s a visit long overdue—a visit for fun rather thanto treat with Garleans—and to see the fruit of Taimu’s labor in helping Hien.

…Taimu, her surrogate younger sister, who has had barely afew fingers of sake and is already pink in the cheeks, stares at her like she’sexpecting her to say something more. Alyx clumsily reaches over to ruffle hersilky black hair still damp from a recent half-accidental leap into the water, making the younger woman giggle and try to bat her hand away.

“I could never regret it,” Alyx affirms, smilingwide, “no matter how many times y’scare me.”

001 for Onyx and Alphinaud!

when I started shipping it if I did:I’m trying to remember when I seriously did. I knew it was considerable for a while, but didn’t ship it…I think it was during Alphinaud’s speech after fighting Hoary Boulder. There was a lot of depth in it and for the first time, we saw loads of HONEST, GENUINE expression of his gratitude for her and while he was still approaching things in very wrong ways (Crystal braves, etc. etc.), this was the point where I saw he was growing. that at least the WoL’s relationship to him brought all the good points about.

my thoughts:my emotions for them became unreal. they go such long ways and I just feel like they’re soulmates, the main characters of my heart. they went through so much, together. the development is fantastic and I LOVE how close they are now. While I do ship them romantically now, their friendship is MOST IMPORTANT and comes before everything else. in my head, they’re both leaders in their own ways. alphinaud leads onyx in ARR and she follows. It’s like you know the person can be a handful but you also know THEY’RE GOOD AT HEART. she’s very loyal to him. we all know about alphinaud’s development and how tables turn by the end of ARR. needless to say, he begins to grow even closer to her because SHE STOOD WITH HIM THROUGH ALL OF THOSE ORDEALS, and they’re still healing from this in 2.5-3.0, but they’re together, so it worked out fine. And he ends up being the one absolutely loyal to HER. He is the tactician, but he follows HER. meanwhile onyx never changed seeing him as her guiding light? I just. don’t ever want them not journeying together ;;

What makes me happy about them:- how much they changed and made the other a better person - they CARE SO MUCH about the other, it’s so pure and good -  at the beginning she was a way to get his politic ambitions and arrogant hero complex rolling, but through it all, she became the most important person to him - my headcanon is that alphinaud definitely has a crush by 3.0 and it’s adorable because onyx has no clue (she’s not used to it, she doesn’t KNOW when people are crushing on her because it never happened before?? or did it? she wouldn’t have realized it until stated, most probably)- onyx took a long while to feel comfortable enough to be completely open around people BUT GOSH HER AND ALPHINAUD ARE //SO// CLOSE, she would trust him with anything by now - the thought of alphinaud suddenly being SO MUCH TALLER than her when he hits 19/20 …..and he’s still in love and she STILL DOESN’T GET IT andgodshestinysuddenly and it’s becoming increasingly hard to keep those feelings to himself BUT HE HAS TO, THEY’RE BEST FRIENDS.

What makes me sad about them:- don’t seperate them in Stormblood pls :((

My happily ever after for them:ALPHINAUD DOESN’T SUFFER UNDER BAD WRITING AKA. IS WRITTEN OUT PATHETICALLY OR DIES they’re forever loyal to each other and always there when the other needs it. alphinaud will either be politically involved or a damn amazing scholar but when he’s with her he can RELAX and she’s more than happy to be that person. sometimes she comes and takes him out on good big old adventures and they FEEL SO FREE AND NOSTALGIC AROUND EACH OTHER if it’s romantically I want alphinaud to finally tell her about his feelings, after years, and she’s so goddamn confused because ?? by the twelve? they’ve been together SO LONG and she never…noticed…and it’s awkward for a good while bc onyx would be totally swamped by confusion, guilt, embarassment and hEARTBEAT but that purity that thing they shared, IT’S LOVE. I want her to eventually realize that it’s so extremely reciprocated

who is the big spoon/little spoon:onyxxxx she’s the warrior of light- she handles things :D plus. she’s a miqo’te. she’s aloof for a long time and very very little physical affection is given bc she can be shy and awkward but she comes to trust him so much, she’d probably don’t mind giving him a cuddle if he allows it(this still happens whenever he’s suddenly a tol!elezen tm)

what is their favorite non-sexual activityI love to imagine Onyx finding it amusing to sneak up on him drawing - and while he freaks out at first; probably embarassed, he eventually shows her? maybe even tries to teach her? (she sucks at it for a good long while) and they go on nostalgia walks around the HW areas and draw the places, people, happenings…make their own memorial illustration of their most personal journey together ; 3;/
