So I finally read Looking Forward by Maya Henry

And... Here are my thoughts

1) Liam's record company/ the people he surrounds himself with are real villians. Not only do they lie a bunch and keep Liam under heavy surveillance (even his therapist gives "assessment reports" to his manager), they also expect Maya to basically be his manager? Assistant? babysitter? mommy? For free. And all f time.

2) She had to get out. And the switch in his behaviour on drugs must've been sofucking hard..i mean The first half of the book had me wishing Liam was my boyfriend and he's always been my least favourite member of the band. The abortion was horrific. Truly horrific. And the axe night was the stuff of nightmares. I'm glad she got out. And she has the right to talk about it. Period

3) Liam needs help. Serious Help. He needs to get out of whatever bullshit music contract he is tied up in (if any) and focus on sobriety and therapy? Which includes having *sober* people he can rely and trust around him. Probably not the boys tho maybe someone like Chappel Roan? Or Beiber? Lol idk.

4) It's not hard or a stretch to believe his behaviour in the book - the narcissism, anger and almost split personality - based on his own admissions in public appearances. (Diary of aCeo podcast, Logan Paul Podcast, Random other viewings)

5) This book could've been heavily edited. Although the illustrations are working!

6) The sexts with fans are disgusting

maya went on a podcast and the hosts kept trying to steer the topic to larry 💀 they brought up people shipping harry and louis, fans being mean to eleanor….. lmao she ignored all of it though thankfully. makes me think she knows what’s up

yeah she either knows what’s up or absolutely does not wanna deal with more sides of the fandom. she’ll be, quite literally, eaten alive if she says anything about Harry and louis, both solo or together

In case you're wondering what people are talking about Liam Payne about?. (I watched the podcast. Twice)

1) Liam shades Zayn He weighs in on the drama below and states Gigi calling Zayn respectful didn't age well

He also says there are many reasons he dislikes Zayn but he will always stand by him because he knows the struggle he has gone through to get where he is.

I have supportive parents, you have supportive parents, he just didn't have that kind of upbringing.. Also he didn't want to be there.

2) He didn't want to be a solo artist but Ed Sheeran came to him with Strip that Down and it outperformed all the boys. So he couldn't stop then.

3) Someone from the band once pinned him against a wall and he responded with 'if you don't take your hands off me there's a high likelihood you'll never use them again'

4) He doesn't want to be on tour, get on buses and smell because he wants to be a good father (after earlier giving props to Louis for being on tour)

5) He drank a lot of whiskies.

6) Simon told him that he formed the band around him because of his promise to support him 2 years earlier

THE STORY OF ME BEING A "DISGUSTING" LARRY SHIPPER

I was literally in a back and forth argument with a girl earlier today on twitter for almost an hour and a half. I know I should have just ended it from the beginning, but I was feeling attacked and I was trying to stand up for myself and others who have probably gotten criticized today for not supporting 100% of what Liam said in attitude. She said that Liam said absolutely nothing wrong in the interview. This girl straight up told me that I was "ignorant" and "fucking disgusting" for supporting Larry. She also kept on saying that me and the larries are "breaking up the boys and that they lose sleep over the fact that people are so obsessed with Larry" and that it makes them "all feel uncomfortable with each other". Yeah, because I'm sure they have sob feasts while they count their millions with their investors... She was also very hell bent on fanart and that apparently now "we need to get consent from the boys to post fanfic and fanart because its not cool." P.S. Every creators goal is NOT to get their work directly sent to the boys, its for the fandom. But, what really put the cherry on top is when she said, I DONT care about the boys happiness and well being and that I'm so "fucking ignorant and only care about my stupid conspiracies". Yeah I am so selfish and I don't care about them at all, that's why I invested almost 5 years of my life to these boys and I've endured people criticizing me for liking them. But yeah, obviously I don't give two shits about these boys. And finally she said that I am "disgusting for still shipping Larry" and that it "makes her sick". I then promptly shut her down by saying "well then I guess I'm gonna go be fucking disgusting with all the other millions of people who support Larry" and blocked and reported her ass ❤ Low key not trying to put her on blast but, high key, I'm gonna put her on blast.
