What is it with my luck regarding taking library pics during this trip? Lol

I've been to 3 libraries to take pictures (Vulcan, Medicine Hat, and Leader) and all 3 were closed! 😔

We're passing by Urban next, and they have a library, so here's hoping...

Guess Who Has an Overage in Her Budget?

Spoiler alert, it me.

I made an error when I set up my budget spreadsheet at the start of the year that made it look like I have less money than I do for a couple of my budgets. So now I have a couple thousand more to spend than I thought I did. And I thought I was done selecting purchase for this year T . T

On the plus side, all of my branches are about to get some really cool presents in the form of Launchpad tablets. You get a Launchpad! And you get a Launchpad!

An older woman came in today asking for books about corn husk dolls and I am FREAKED

Unhinged thing I have said at work:

"We should try to get the elevator doors if they tear down that building. I don't know where we'd put them but we should try."

My boss:

"Okay........elevator doors......making a note....."

the line between the erotic and the obscene isn't real so jot that down.

Freedom of speech includes expression that I do not like. That I do not agree with. That I find disgusting, offensive, morally reprehensible. It includes racist, bigoted, sexist, queerphobic, hateful language. It includes the ugly, the profane, the vile, and the cruel.

And it would do us all some good to remember that this is a good thing.

Hamster piled his snowballs near his feet. The snow packed nicely. He saw that Ratty was quick at making snowballs, but his snowball stash wasn’t too much larger than his own.

“Game on,” called out Ratty throwing the first snow ball into Hamster’s snow wall. Hamster picked up and threw one snowball after the other, until they were both out of snowballs and tired from the fun.

The lights from the library shown through the windows. Hamster was thankful that they could return to the warm library after their game. He had a blanket and a book waiting in his chair.
