US people! The asshole who currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave signed an EO on 3/14/2025 to defund the Institute of Library and Museum Services. YOU have the chance to call YOUR SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVE and be REALLY ANNOYING in an INFORMATIVE WAY.

As an act of love to yourself, your neighbors, and your library workers, please call your Congresspeople and:

- Demand they do everything in their power to block this defunding

- Tell them libraries are important to you and you use their services and you don’t want those services to change or go away. You want MORE services which means MORE money.

- Demand they do everything in their power to end the current constitutional crisis. Congress has power of the purse, not the executive branch.

This is a fast and tangible way to support libraries! You get to vent your frustration about this regime! You get to know that I am genuinely thankful to you!

Fun fact: I have a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science; I am also a huge soccer fan (but I prefer MLS, Liga MX, and a bunch of CONMEBOL leagues over European ones); and I was a cheesemaker in college

Audiobook(s) - The Scottish Boy by Alex de Campi, an historical fiction m/m romance set during the reign of Edward III. Super intense and spicy, I'm very much enjoying it! Also slowly going through the Expanse books. Currently on Abaddon's Gate

Print book(s) - Cerrado por futbol by Eduardo Galeano, to practice my Spanish; The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science by Kate McKinnon, tried Fourth Wing (meh so far), and my coworkers are trying to get me to reread Gideon the Ninth by Tamsin Muir cuz they all decided to read it now and want to chat about it and I read it long enough ago that my thoughts on it are hazy, aside from having loved it

Currently playing: Technically BG3, Diablo IV, Clair Obscur, Hades 2 (thoon!), and I just picked up DA: Origins on Steam, but I keep going back to DA: Inquisition. Currently on a second playthrough Dalish mage/Solasmance (which, can he just fckin dump my inquisitor already?! I wanna go smooch Cullen! I'm trying to give him a chance and it's not working and he won't let me break up with him! Gross, dude!)

Sweet, Spicy, or Savory? I tell myself that it's sweet, but my go-tos are all savory. I love spice but it doesn't love me back. Also, if we are what we eat, I am mostly cheese

Current Obsession(s): Cullen Rutherford, preparing for the World Cup to take over my city next summer, ukulele, keeping up on my Spanish and refining my rioplatense accent, cocktail making, cooking with stuff from my container garden
