During the pandemic, library workers continue to exceed their communities' demands and adapt resources and services to meet their users' needs during these challenging times.” Our family has been blessed to be involved with our local library throughout our day’s of military assignments, and since retirement and new ventures. Then at home while checking emails read a message about it being National Library Workers Day , so we made an impromptu decision to return on our next errand and gift our local staff eggs from our farm. It wasn’t a big gesture but a small, sincere thank you for all they’ve done and continue to do even during the pandemic. Just yesterday we overheard them helping someone use the computer to acquire something that was urgently needed and can only be done online. They track down books and other materials and resources for patrons and provide services needed by our community.
