It spread out like a green blanket before me; the scent of pine and dirt, freshly dewed from the rain. My nose filled with it’s intoxicating, coniferous perfume. The trees glistened a bright emerald, and sang a low, enchanting tune that floated into my ears. It was an enticing song. I want to hear more.

She's super cool and I do agree that her and Lissa would be friends. But also, I wanted to know what your favorite little details about Sayara were. Like little things that make her special or something. :)
hi! I’m sorry it took me a while to get around to answering you, I’ve been super busy.
Honestly, my favorite little Sayara detail is how downright silly she is. She’s a goof! She has a comically overblown sense of confidence in her creativity, and she creates nothing but nonsense. She’s filled multiple notebooks with stories about a window washer whose customers are sentient trees, which I’d honestly love to read myself, and her art looks like a second grader’s LSD doodle. She’s not creating either of these as a joke, she takes herself 100% seriously, to a point where she stubbornly insists that it’s her “style” and she actually has genuine skill with absurdity. She likes to BS elaborate stories about her own adventures, too. She convinced Hope that she fist-fought a treskada once and Hope bought it hook line and sinker. This is one of her fondest memories.
Sayara also fences, which is a hobby she picked up specifically to look cool. There’s nothing quite as heroic as wielding a big shiny sword and fighting off monsters! Big shiny bows are also great, and would be far more useful, but Sayara likes to hit things. In the world of Feilan, this is a pretty useless show skill, because magic outclasses physical weapons under most circumstances. It sure looks cool, though.
Also, Sayara cannot cook to save her LIFE, but she does know how to bake! She makes really good pastries.

Magenta is neutral evil. Her whims, her goals, her self--these things come first, always and without exception. Life is nothing but a tool, useful for getting what you want. How convenient that her whims, goal, and self are all aligned in her desire for revenge--how unfortunate for everyone else that she will play every bloody card she has to get it.
Peni is true neutral. Allies, enemies, desires, despairs, these things are all fleeting. Humanity is all about balance. Whether or not she is still human, she still acts to balance the world--good acts for bad, violence for altruism.
Onyx is chaotic evil. Freedom. Fire. Everything is else is a wasteland, barren and meaningless. Beauty, the only reason for life’s existence, is like the ocean--always slipping from your grip, within reach but unobtainable.
Amaryllis is neutral good. Rules bend and break. Good, however, is unbreakable--it has surpassed eons in its worthiness and practice. If she can make one person happier, then it will have been a life well lived.

So, Death’s Eyes is… I just realized, I don’t think I’ve ever actually described the story much. Basically, Acheflow -my main character- is a hermit, who has the ability to see how someone is going to die by touching them. Tobias ends up on her mountain looking for information on a sword left behind by one of the gods (I’ve got a tag with lots of stuff about them here). They’re a big deal in the Death’s Eyes world, and the faith in them is a huge part of society… and the plot, as Tobias is working for one of them. He’s on a quest to find a “bad sorcerer” who has kept his actions a secret from everyone from the gods -Xavier is a nasty dude and I don’t like writing him much because it makes me feel gross; he’s just bad. He’s a necromancer, I wrote a dark, not friendly piece for him I can send a link for if you’d like.
Here, I’ll shove this under a Read More, because I’m feeling this got a little long ^^’
Basically, the story is Tobias is trying to stop Xavier, and Acheflow is only going along with it because Tobias is the first person she’s ever met that is immune to her powers. There’s other bits in there, in which the gods are of major importance (pay close attention to Thearial; he’s gonna be a big deal one day) and actually influence the plot. My worldbuilding of the pantheon has a purpose, I promise!
Acheflow is actually a reboot of a character I wrote back in my fiction writing class; her basic personality and her powers are the same, but she’s also had a lot more development and the plot… well, she’s not a minor character anymore, so that says something. She’s a bit of a cynic -mostly because she can’t stop the things she’s sees- really just wants to be left alone, has a huge love of chocolate, survivalist who is real good with a bow.
Tobias -whose name I stole from Acheflow’s original story- is happy-go-lucky, a master swordsman, and surprisingly stubborn. He goes after every rumor that might lead to Xavier -even when they don’t- and is completely determined to finish this quest. Fun fact, he’s got seven sisters, and he’s only got like… one sibling younger than him. He’s a flirt, doesn’t necessarily care if the women he’s flirting with are married or not… which gets him in trouble. He’s also the type to hide his worries/anger/secrets behind a carefree grin, so less people feel the need to ask.
Xavier’s evil. Just… evil. He’ll get more development, when I can try writing more of him without getting angry at myself (which I might not get if I developed him more) but he’s just evil. Completely selfish, doesn’t care about people -unless they’re useful- and wants to become a god. Not just a god, but the god that people worship. His main plan is to destroy the pantheon and then take control of the world as the one divine power. Seriously, I’m hoping no one gets attached to him, (as unlikely as that is), because I do not have even a semblance of a happy ending planned for him.
I really enjoy writing this one because it’s… darker, than the other two WIPs I have going. Like, Xavier automatically makes it worse. But it’s interesting to deal with their faith in the gods, and having two characters who are planned to grow and change together. And the gods are just fun to write. Like, if for no other reason, I really enjoy anything with them in it. It’s been a blast creating them, and their relationships with each other, and everything else. One day, if Death’s Eyes gets finished, and people like it, and it becomes like, a thing, (so… never, but hope is good) I might have to come up with like… a whole bunch of stories for the mythology and write them down, because the pantheon is so much fun!

Aria would make a speech about anything if you get her emotional enough. She’d be the type to jump up at like… a simple party for a sixth grader’s promotion and make a big speech about growing up.
9. Do they empathize with non-sentient things (dolls, plants, books…)?
Yes and no? Like, she’ll be very protective of her things, but less so about other people’s non sentient things. And she talks to her coffee as if it’s a person sometimes before she drinks it, so…
28. Would they date a fixer-upper?
It would depend on the situation. If she liked them, maybe? But the moment it became unhealthy and negative for her, she’d back out.
