Life protip for cashiers: If you got shit to do but you can't walk away from your register because a customer is taking an eternity wandering around the register instead of checking out, start wiping down a counter or a similar small task. It sets off the customer's "I must interrupt the employees in whatever they're doing" sensors and they'll suddenly be ready for you to ring them out.

LPT: Learn Brevity

In professional settings, learn how to talk with clarity and conciseness. Discuss one topic at a time. Break between topics, make sure everyone is ready to move on to another one. Pause often to allow others to speak.

A lack of brevity is one reason why others will lose respect for you. If you ramble, it sounds like you lack confidence, and don’t truly understand the topic. You risk boring your audience. It sounds like you don’t care what other people have to say (this is particularly true if you are a manager). On conference calls and Zoom meetings, all of this is even worse due to lag.

Pay attention to how you talk. You’re not giving a TED talk, you’re collaborating with a team. Learn how to speak with clarity and focus, and it’ll go much better.

I bought one of those dry cleaning kits you use in your dryer and I can wear this one blazer to work again that I’ve been putting off taking to the cleaners for forever. I’m so happy and it really did a decent job. I mean I’m still gonna have to have it professionally done from time to time I’m sure but not nearly as much as I would without it

$7 at target (dryel) and I washed a dress and 2 pants with it and have another loads worth left before I'd need to buy refills. So say roughly 8 things decently dry cleaned for $7, that is nothing!! anyways this is very exciting to me (does this mean I'm an adult now) and I had to share xoxo
