When we strip those things away and remember and act and share and show the qualities we possess, we show who we really are, without relying on the labels that announce, restrict, confine, or define us. Not to add pressure to yourself, but to be aware of how in control you are. Blame, excuses, finger pointing, indecision and deflecting are all ways to keep us stuck, give into fear and not acknowledge how we truly feel or get what we want. It keeps us safe, It keeps us believing we can’t do anything about it, that things are beyond our grasp because we are relinquishing our control. When we realize we are 100% in control of ourselves and can change our thoughts, behavior and actions in a second you maybe surprised at how powerful you feel. You get to choose how you react in a situation, you get to decide if it’s something you want to do or not, you get to accept if something is acceptable or not. Because every thought, action and word is driven by you, and you alone and the way you react or respond is your decision to make. Reposted from @tabathacoffey I am asked all the time what motivates and inspires me,the answer is quite simply - YOU. Whether it’s on social media, in classrooms, at events, taking over a business or in coaching sessions , interacting with and listening to you drives me to be better, do better and want to support more. I feel like a lot of people are talking AT us lately, but don’t really listen or ask what we need to feel supported and grow. I also believe that searching for solutions and having a dialogue without asking questions - even if they are hard ones - often leads us to the wrong information. What we get isn’t really helpful and we still feel isolated. I decided that instead of being one of those people always telling you what you need, I would ask you. and through us having conversations about our businesses,lives,experiences and industries, we can find solutions, feel supported, and grow together. What has fear cost you? . . . . . Reposted from @tabathacoffey What has fear cost you? Sometimes fear is a helpful thing that keeps us safe and alerts us to harmful situations. But most of the time it’s our inner voice that just keeps us stuck and paralyzed from moving forward. It controls us and stops us from believing in ourselves or going after what we want. It’s that nagging little monster that wants us to believe we are not good enough, not deserving enough, will fail, can’t have what we want, will be shamed, embarrassed, made fools of, or that we just don’t have what it takes. We listen to it, and more often than not it wins and it costs us dearly. It cost us our dreams, passions, adventures, love, self esteem and confidence and, from being who we can truly be. It costs us because it’s an insidious little monster that when we give into it, it takes over and permeates all aspects of our lives and we second guess ourselves and let it be the victor. Could you accept and forgive the less than perfect parts of yourself the way you forgive and accept those around you? Could you make a choice to listen to what you need, how you feel, what would be best for you and make you happy without judgement,feeling selfish or guilty and act on it the way you encourage others to? Could you take the advice and love you share with others and lavish it on yourself just to see what it feels like? What if, just for today all the actions and thoughts you had towards yourself you imagined were geared towards a loved one, free of judgement and ego and full of love and support. Getting to know, accept, like, and dare I say love yourself is a journey. Being able to embrace and acknowledge all of yourself, the good and the bad, the fabulous and flawed, the fears and courageousness, and the parts of yourself that you still want or need to work on is part of accepting who you are, and being authentically and unapologetically you. . . . . . It’s easy to compare yourself and feel you come up short, it’s easy to listen to the people that say” l love you your perfect” BUT..,, or IF you just changed this.....however that is their limiting belief and issue not yours.
