My friend, a family member, and I were coming back from an art class, and we stopped at gas station, well, to get gasoline.
And was in the mood for ice cream so my friend -let’s call them Xebiux- and I ran into the store, while my family member filled the tank.
I grabbed a water, and, after some difficulty, we found the ice cream container and picked out some ice cream (no duh, Pokedotcat. What else were you going to get from the ice team container?)
So we head to the check out and I put the water and ice cream on the counter. The clerk scans the water, and says “That’ll be 99 cents.” And I look at the ice cream, then back at him and ask “What about the ice cream?”
“That stuff has been in there for 2 months, you can have it for free.” And I’m like, “really? Then can I have another one?” And he nods so I pay for the water, grab another ice cream and Xebiux and I run out of the store like insane people.
I give the other ice cream to my family member, we eat in the car, then we head back home. We drop Xebiux at their house, and return home. After about 30 minutes of being at home, I go to the bathroom and spend about 10 minutes on the toilet feeling like my stomach was stabbing me on the inside.
Lesson Learned: If you are offered free, 1 month-past-its-expiration-date, ice cream TAKE IT.
