One of your recent blogs mentioned EMDR. I felt I could relate with some of what you wrote, but what is EMDR? Sorry for being uninformed.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and it’s a type of psychotherapy that some people find particularly useful for overcoming trauma. It uses rapid eye movement (or other bilateral stimulation, I use hand buzzers) to get both sides of the brain to work together and process distressing events and memories.
