Usually I hate talking about my #epilepsy but I figured that since I follow some #epilepsyawareness blogs on Instagram and I'm bored as hell sat in a hospital I might as well write a wee post about my #medical personal life and post in on social media for the world to see. Yesterday I was admitted to the #westerngeneralhospital after I couldn't make it through it a routine #epilepsynursespecialist appointment without facial twitching and I definitely couldn't string a sentence together, I probably would've had a #seizure if they hadn't poured some some #midazolam in my mouth while I was having an #EEG. Now I'm changing medication for second time this year, I've never been #seizurefree for more than a year at a time as far as I can remember. My first #seizure was in 2007 and I was diagnosed with #epilepsy in 2008 just before I turned 16. I'm annoyed that I'm here because I've spent the past 9 years dealing with this without being admitted to hospital, and now I need to call a nurse when I need to pee. I don't know anyone else my age with #epilepsy like mine, I only know people who treat it. Today I've had my blood taken and an #mriscan and I'm going to be in #hospital another night with an #EEG scheduled for tomorrow. #lifewithepilepsy (at Western General Hospital)
