Happy Father’s Day ❤️
And more reasons Wish Hook and Henry Mills are great dads:
They respect the wish of their daughters to spend time with their mothers, even should they disagree.
Neither Lucy nor Alice have to feel ashamed to express thoughts and desires in front of their fathers.
They respect their daughter's choices and thoughts and don't blame them for something they clearly aren't to be blamed for.
They don't burden them with their own struggles, or expect them to solve that.
Top 15 Familial Relationships (as voted by my followers) 14. Light Believer “Every curse can be broken - you just need belief, maybe the help of your family. It took time, but Emma learned that. And when she did, she knew she could believe in anything if it would save her child’s life.” Now I get it, I really get it. Because I would do anything to save you, no matter how crazy. So Lucy, if that means there’s some other world where I really am your dad, then I believe it, Lucy. I believe.
Around the Block (Glass Believer Fic)
A/N: So @findingtallahassee has written me a lot of prompts in the past and I wanted to write something for one of her OTPs. So here’s a short Glass Believer Hyperion Heights AU I thought of awhile ago where Henry is Jacinda’s Swift driver and she needs him to drive her around the block to calm her newborn. @trueloveismagic might be interested too.
------------------
It was getting late when Henry dropped off his latest Swift customer. As he watched the tipsy couple stumble out of his backseat he silently debated whether or not he should call it a night. It was 3am and the late-night crowd was waning but so was his bank account the last time he checked. Pulling, away from the curb he decided that it was time to head home. He’d clock in early tomorrow to make up his losses but for tonight he was done.
He barely driven a block when he got another ping on his Swift app. Groaning, he reluctantly took a look.
A new fare, less than two blocks away and he was the only one in a 10-minute radius. Twisting his lips indecisively, he wondered if it would be worth it to cart another drunk frat boy back to his apartment for the night. After a moment of hesitation he decided to accept. Rent was due soon, anyway.
He drove to address praying to god that whoever got in his backseat wasn’t the chatty type. It was far too late to pretend as if he was interested in anything other sleep this night.
His eyes widened when he pulled up to the curb and saw a woman dressed in blue plaid pajamas waiting on the street. Her lopsided ponytail swung back and forth as she jostled the car seat under her arm, attempting to stifle the long winded yawn he saw fly from her mouth. Before he even rolled down the window he could hear the unmistakable cry of an infant reach his ears.
“My name’s Henry,” he said, uncertainly. “I’m your Swift driver.”
“Oh thank god,” she sighed, reaching for the door handle.
Henry watched, his eyebrows knit together curiously, as she shoved the car seat with her wailing baby in the back before climbing in the front seat and letting out a tired breath.
“So... where are you headed?” he asked, raising his voice over the sound of her baby.
She shrugged. “Nowhere in particular.”
“Excuse me?”
The woman vaguely, gestured toward the road. “Just... drive around the block a few times, please.”
A confused chuckle fell from the back of Henry’s throat, as he shook his head at her. “Yeah... that’s not how this works.”
GUYS... Call forth all the Pregnant!GB fics!
since the last episode had Lucy already born, I feel so cheated and demand that either someone writes Pregnant!Glass-Believer fic(s) or I will. I need grumpy Ella just scowling since she isn’t allowed to fight and eventually refusing to rest because she needs to help she isn’t useless and just hates everything about it so Henry just picks up his grumpy smol wife and carries her to their tent and just stays with her, reassuring her she isn’t useless. I just want emotional Ella being pissed and letting out all her frustration while Henry is just quiet and strokes her hair till she allows herself to sleep.
Like Henry just being there for his wife and being excited/nervous rushing to get tips from Hook & Rumple (who is refuse to believe wouldn’t rush to give his grandson a present to give to his little princess come on I may not really like Rumple too much but this season has warmed me up to him!).
I want both Henry & Ella to sing Lucy lullabies from their own childhoods, like Ella would sometimes sing little lines in spanish and Regina would try to teach Henry all the ones that worked on him.
Or both being terrified on how to be a mother/father since they both lost theirs at young enough ages but they reassure one another and work off each other.
Like imagine Snowing, Emma and Hook return once Henry manages to get a message to them cuz Emma demands to meet her daughter-in law & unborn grandchild and gives Ella all the craving tips (i love to think that that was one of the biggest annoyance for her personally). Snowing are thrilled and bombard GB with baby tips and names (Henry sneaks in a remark about cradle-cap of course) and they give all the gifts that those back in Storybrooke sent. Like Gepetto and August sent a little wooden toy (like a little wooden sword Gepetto knows that the kid’ll use it no matter their gender have you met their family??) and a little story book like Henry’s. Archie would send so much congrats and just be so happy (not too sure what gift tho? a parenting book??) and Granny would knit another blanket for sure!
permission to name them Light Believer?
