Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄

The kid, my Mom, step Dad and I went to Butchart Gardens this evening. It’s such a beautiful place (and a massive tourist attraction). There were a lot of people there. We had dinner first and then walked through the gardens to view the thousands of lights. We watched carolers and then a live brass band playing all the Christmas classics.

In the spring and summer months, the gardens are absolutely gorgeous with so many flowers. This time of year they do a phenomenal job with their light display. My photos don’t do it any justice.

I took my walker with me but weaving my way through hundreds of people was a bit challenging. I did have some stronger neck pain - likely from tensing up due to the cold. I had to take 2 - 1mg hydromorphone pills over the space of 3 hours. I’ve hardly needed them lately because I haven’t been very active. I walked over 7200 steps today so I’m very happy with that.

Here we are waiting for dinner.

We had a really great time and it was the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve. It was actually pouring rain all day and it stopped literally 5 minutes before we arrived. I’m so glad the weather decided to cooperate.

I’m hoping all the fresh air will give me a better sleep. I’ve been having a hard time with that, lately. I had an oncology nurse check in with me yesterday and I let her know that I’m struggling with it. She gave me a few tips that I already know but were good reminders. One being a sleep mask. I think I may have to start using one again. I also told her about my weird taste buds and asked about cannabis. Today, the pharmacist called me back and said it was fine. So if it continues, I’ll consider trying it.

For those of you that do not know I am very very color blind. Also another thing that for those of you who dont know I don't normally edit my stuff when it comes to photography. However video is a vastly different animal. I spent a fair amount of time on this specific one. I spent time to adjust the colors. Fix saturation levels. And give it a neat kind of glow all while sharpening it up. A large amount of artifacts that were present in other videos are now gone. Please let me know what everyone thinks.

Made a little recycled material waterfall display for my friends fantasy themed chocolate shop. Not the best video but 🫠. Below it is a dragon sculpture that acts as a guard for a little free library.
